In this conversation, painter Jake Fern sits down with Matthew Glamorre, an artist, videographer, agent provocateur and outspoken critic of the LGBTQ movement, for the third and final chat recorded while Jake paints his portrait. It picks up on faith and the Christian revival. Matthew explains why he supports it wholeheartedly even though he can’t call Christ his only Lord and Saviour, and why he thinks pagans and Christians should form an alliance rooted in the land and its people. They also take in chaos magic, secret societies, and where each of them stands on anarchism versus the need for structure.
From there the discussion turns to politics, and Matthew is at his most outspoken. He argues that mass deportations are coming and describes mass migration as a “bioweapon” used against the country, while Jake pushes back. They also cover surveillance and AI, the Dover protest as contemporary art, why he rejects left-right labels, a changing of the guard between old money and the new tech elite, and Trump’s shifting relationship with China and Russia.
It ends on his vision of what comes next: a “new England” restored through Magna Carta and common law, a century as a “chocolate box” of village pubs and cricket on the green, and a call for men to lead the fight. Along the way he reflects on being the outsider’s outsider, before the chat closes with the finished portrait.
