Finding the Moral Spine: Resistance to Faceless Modernity—with Sir Julian Rose

Following the successful conversion of his land into a profitable and chemical-free farm, Julian Rose saw the lure of corporate contracts dismantle the wider organic movement. He has since successfully fought off the introduction of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) in Poland (with the International Coalition to Protect the Polish Countryside), and campaigned for land to be used according to the proximity principle: when producers serve a local market.

Among the many threats to the landscape, the environment, the farmer and the consumer, Julian considers the interwoven horrors of transhumanism and artificial intelligence (AI) to be the forerunners. He has a simple and robust vision of how such perversions may be staved off, providing opportunity and excitement in the process. The article which was quoted during the interview is: ‘UK to be Leading Global Test Bed for AI Enforcement - “We are going to push main line AI into the veins of Britain”’.

Julian Rose is the author of several books and countless articles, links to which can be found on his website. He was interviewed previously for UK Column in 2024: ‘Unearthly Interference: The Corruption of the Organic Movement’.
