As a well-qualified professional, Iolanda Menino was excited to leave Portugal to work in the UK. She later met a loving partner and they took the exciting step of starting a family together. Life was good, and Iolanda took all the necessary steps to plan and prepare for the birth of her baby. She decided that she would like to benefit from the help and support of a doula, but she was also happy to engage with the NHS and its pre- and post-natal support around a home birth.
Although her baby was born healthy and well, clinical malpractice almost cost Iolanda her life, and she needed immediate hospital treatment to recover.
Yet Iolanda and her partner were not to enjoy the arrival of their new son. In hours, they were increasingly surrounded and bullied by Social Services, the police, and the NHS.
Iolanda was forced back into hospital with her newborn son, and in a matter of days, the NHS, Social Services, and the police had created a false child protection case against Iolanda and her partner. Southampton Hospital was used as a place of cold, noise, sleep deprivation, intimidation, and psychological torture to alienate and separate Iolanda and her partner from their new baby. Iolanda describes the experience as being sleep deprived in the middle of a scary movie. Ultimately, the three ‘Child Protection’ authorities used false allegations and evidence in the Family Court system to take the baby. Iolanda has never seen him since, nor does she know who was given her stolen son.
Her son is yet another young child snatched by UK’s unaccountable ‘Child Protection’ racket.
