Carys is one of thousands of mothers in the UK who have had a child stolen by the state. Her daughter was taken based on a false psychiatric report made against Carys when she was a child. This happened despite clear evidence that demonstrates the report was false. The psychiatrist responsible for the report was struck off for falsifying many cases. Furthermore, Carys has raised another happy, healthy child. Despite this, Carys is still denied contact with her daughter after years apart.
Carys has fought for contact through the Family Courts and the wider judicial system. She is either prevented from presenting her evidence of innocence, or her evidence is dismissed out of hand. Her reward for the fight to see her child has been continued alienation, denial of access to appeal, and substantial court costs awarded against her.
