The Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Conference: a Personal Reflection on a Groundbreaking Event

Introduction

On 22 February 2025, Common Knowledge Edinburgh sponsored the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Conference, which was held at Lauriston Hall in Edinburgh. This historic event represented the first inquiry to be held by the people of a nation into the actions of their national government, institutions, and media during the Covid event of March 2020 and beyond.

At the conference, the audience of around 100 heard from six qualified and authoritative speakers who provided their personal analyses of the actions of government, institutions, and media during the Covid event in Scotland. These presentations were supplemented by testimonies from three members of the Scottish public, recounting in graphic detail the harms inflicted on their relatives by the Covid responses taken by the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland. The conference concluded by identifying those who should be held accountable for the harms done to the Scottish people during the Covid event. The full programme for the conference is provided at the end of this article. Recordings of all the presentations given at the conference can be found on the UK Column website.

This article has four objectives. The first is to explain why a Scottish People’s Inquiry into the Covid event was essential for putting on record what happened in Scotland from March 2020 onwards. The second is to integrate the information and insights presented at the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Conference in order to draw unequivocal conclusions about the actions of the Scottish Government, national institutions, and the media during Covid times. The third objective is to compile a list of those individuals and groups who are accountable for the egregious and often tragic harms suffered by the Scottish public during Covid times. The final objective is to consider what the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry has achieved, and where we can o from here.

Why Was the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Essential?

The history of any conflict is invariably written by the victors after they have silenced those they have defeated. As a consequence, we rarely hear a true account of the events that took place. We are presented instead with the victor’s narrative, carefully crafted to justify the questionable actions that they took, create heroes of their villains, and firmly close the door on any deeper investigation of the suffering and harm for which they were responsible.

Though no overt show of force was involved in the Covid event, it was, nevertheless, a murderous conflict played out on a global stage. The aggressors comprised a relatively small number of individuals possessing unimaginable levels of wealth and resources, giving them the power to buy and control governments, the media, and the institutions. Their victims were the ordinary peoples of the world, tied into, and at the mercy of, the financial and legal systems built by the unimaginably wealthy to protect and further their interests. The wealthy few used their power temporarily to generate an atmosphere of overwhelming fear and anxiety, while removing all ethically and morally based institutional safeguards, creating a situation in which evil was given licence to act with impunity.

The material consequence of the Covid conflict was a massive transfer of wealth from ordinary people to the super wealthy, the decimation of small businesses, and the impoverishment of the most financially vulnerable. The physical and mental health of the general population, and most shockingly our precious children, were degraded both by restrictions on their freedoms and education, and by the casual relinquishing of their bodily autonomy that exposed them to the ravages of an experimental gene therapy. The spiritual consequences of the conflict, however, have been even more profound and run deeper.

During Covid times, the vast majority of the public abdicated any responsibility for questioning what they were told to believe, behaved in completely irrational or knowingly immoral ways in order to avoid either financial loss or social stigma, and on occasion belittled or vilified the small minority who openly questioned the Government’s narrative and resisted the propaganda to which they were being subjected. As a consequence, a palpable, but unacknowledged, communal guilt and sense of personal humiliation associated with their behaviour during the Covid years currently hangs over huge sections of the population, particularly those who were responsible for enforcing Covid tyranny.

The remedy for this situation is currently being fabricated by the aggressors in the Covid conflict. It entails the construction and embedding of a narrative for mass consumption which asserts that the population was exposed to a novel, deadly, and contagious respiratory disease in 2020, that this disease forced the imposition of extraordinary public health measures, and that the implementation of these measures successfully averted catastrophe. This narrative is being enshrined in the official records through devices which have been created for this purpose: official government inquiries. These take the form of staged inquests managed by government lawyers charged with reaching predetermined conclusions that support the desired narrative.

For the Covid inquiries, the predetermined conclusions are that in the face of a deadly, contagious respiratory disease, the actions taken by those in charge of government, health, national institutions and the media in 2020 were rational and reasonable given the circumstances, that the public were right to accept the extraordinary measures and curtailing of their human rights, that some mistakes were made, and some people were harmed. However, on balance, the common good was served, and no-one was really to blame.

If these conclusions become accepted truth and are written into the history books, the governments, institutions, and media who orchestrated the Covid event will be exonerated and face no further scrutiny. Furthermore, those of the public who did not question the Government’s actions will be given the salve that they seek: communal vindication and justification for their actions, however immoral or irrational these may have been, and relief from the nagging guilt and humiliation they feel when they reflect on how they behaved.

At the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, this playbook, written by the Covid aggressors, has been followed very strictly and effectively, with domineering lawyers intimidating and belittling those recounting the horror of what happened to so many vulnerable people, and the huge levels of physical and mental harm arising from the Covid measures. However, in Scotland, the Covid inquiry has taken a slightly different course. Perhaps because of less effective levels of government control, some remaining sense of decency in the law profession, and the vigilance of the dedicated few who lived through the Covid event and seek accountability, glimpses of the truth have been revealed.

Lodged within the official website of the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry sit a huge collection of personal testimonies, both written and oral, that document in graphic detail the egregious harms suffered by ordinary Scottish people during the Covid event. Summarising the evidence, the lawyers involved state candidly that numerous human rights were breached by the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland in the name of protecting the public from an alleged deadly, contagious, and respiratory disease: Covid-19. Although receiving no publicity from the mainstream media, this evidence has been meticulously documented at Biologyphenom and has subsequently received widespread exposure on social media.

Thus, unlike the UK Inquiry, the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry has convincingly exposed the culpability of the Scottish Government and the NHS in causing extreme suffering and harm, particularly to the elderly and vulnerable in care. However, while this may appear as a victory for those who seek the truth, in reality it merely serves to reinforce a part of the official narrative: that mistakes were made in the response to a novel, deadly, contagious, respiratory disease, and these mistakes caused grievous damage to the public. By this device, the attention of the Inquiry becomes concentrated on how to learn the lessons from these mistakes and how best to respond to a future deadly disease. By design, this ensures there will be no questioning of the critical assumption that there was a novel, deadly, contagious respiratory disease in Scotland in 2020 for which measures had to be taken. In their different ways, therefore, both the UK and Scottish Covid-19 Inquiries are on course, over the extended period for which they will run, to write the approved histories of the Covid event that they were set up to deliver.

It was with this understanding of the agenda being followed by the official UK and Scottish Covid-19 Inquiries that the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Conference was organised. Its aim was to provide an overview of the Covid event in Scotland as experienced and analysed by those who critically questioned the actions of, and the information provided by, Scottish Government, NHS Scotland, and the media at the time. Using presentations from experts in the fields of public health, the media, analytical science, medical ethics, and pathology, together with personal testimonies from those whose families were grievously harmed, the objective was to provide for posterity a true history of the Covid event in Scotland and to identify those who should be held to account for their actions.

What Are the Conclusions from the Scottish People’s Inquiry?

The most profound insight that emerged from the conference is that there was no deadly and highly contagious respiratory disease present in Scotland in March 2020. The actual incidence of the illness designated as Covid did not even remotely approach the conditions of a public health emergency. There was no pandemic. It follows that no special public health measures were needed. However, an unprecedented set of public health measures were nevertheless put in place by the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland in March 2020 that broke all the accepted guidelines. It was anticipated that these measures would cause grievous harm and death, and they duly did so. When the harms that these measures were causing were brought to the attention of Scottish Government and NHS Scotland, there was no attempt to mitigate their effects, and when justice was sought, it was denied.

The second finding from the conference presentations concerns the role of the mainstream media in facilitating the government agenda. Throughout 2020 they focussed on messages designed to instil a fear of Covid into the Scottish population. In conjunction with this, they uncritically promoted novel gene therapies, marketed as ‘vaccines’, as the only solution to the threat posed by the fictitious Covid pandemic. They also censored, silenced, or viciously attacked anyone critical of the Scottish Government and NHS public health measures, particularly those individuals sounding the alarm about the dangers of the ‘vaccines’.

The third revelation from the conference presentations relates to the behaviour of NHS health professionals during Covid times. Abandoning all their medical ethics, many were happy to follow protocols that led to the premature death of the elderly in their care, and to register these as Covid deaths. More recently, they participated in the nationwide rollout of Covid ‘vaccines’ (experimental gene therapies) that lack any long-term safety testing. Indeed, they actively promoted the injection of these harmful products into both children and pregnant women, for whom absolutely no safety data were available. Large numbers of Scots have since been seriously harmed or killed by these gene therapies, but the reality of widespread Covid ‘vaccine’ injuries has been denied by both the medicine regulator (MHRA) and medical professionals and studiously ignored by the mainstream media.

The evidence provided by the conference presentations can leave no doubt that the actions of the Scottish Government, NHS, and mainstream media were not spontaneous reactions to a genuine health emergency. Rather, they represent the enactment of plans that were pre-meditated and for which large amounts of preparation must have been undertaken well before March 2020. The plans that were enacted were clearly designed to mislead and grievously harm the Scottish people; objectives that were both achieved. In the light of these facts, the Scottish people should have no further trust in their Government, their National Health Service, or their mainstream media. Trust should also be withdrawn from all those institutions that unquestioningly adopted and enforced the Covid restrictions, actively encouraged their members to submit to Covid ‘vaccinations’, and vilified those who did not comply.

Who Should Be Held to Account for the Harms Caused by Covid Measures?

Feedback from those attending the conference identified a long list of participants involved in facilitating the Covid event. Visible at the supra national level were figures such as Tony Blair, Klaus Schwab, and corporate members of the World Economic Forum such as Pfizer. At the UK Government level, politicians Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock, and Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty were cited.

At the Scottish Government level, accountability was sought from a wide range of individuals. These included:

  • First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who choreographed the coronavirus response in Scotland;
  • Jeane Freeman, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport involved in the deadly transfer of the elderly from hospitals to care homes;
  • Dorothy Bain KC, who changed the law around death/suspicious death following the fraudulent declaration of a ‘pandemic’ by the World Health Organization;
  • Fiona McQueen, Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Catherine Calderwood and Dr. Gregor Smith, Chief Medical Officers, all of whom ignored the decision in March 2020 by the UK Government that Covid was not a high consequence infectious disease;
  • Jason Leitch, National Clinical Director who pushed the message of fear without any thought for the harm it would cause;
  • Iain Livingstone, Chief Constable Police Scotland who targeted those speaking out against lockdowns and ‘vaccinations’;
  • Alan Spiers, Deputy Chief Constable Police Scotland who gave order to Police Scotland not to act on any matters related to Covid ‘vaccinations’; and
  • Devi Sridhar and Linda Bauld, both professors at Edinburgh University who lied and coerced in connection with mask wearing and Covid ‘vaccinations’, especially as they applied to children.

A hallmark of the Covid event was the use of fear as a weapon to achieve compliance with lockdown, masking and acceptance of the Covid ‘vaccinations’. The print and broadcast mainstream media, especially the BBC, were identified as the chief instigators and perpetuators of this fear, as well as being the lackeys of the Government in promoting the false narrative of a deadly contagious respiratory disease, censoring, smearing, and cancelling experts who spoke up against the government agenda, and actively promoting the Covid ‘vaccinations’ in the absence of any long term safety data.

Finally, there was a consensus among the conference delegates that the Covid event could not have taken place without abdication of the public’s responsibility, in a democratic society, en masse to critically question the actions of their government and others in positions of institutional power, and to appraise the veracity of the information that they were fed by their media and promoted influencers.

If legal justice were available to the Scottish people, the evidence revealed by the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry conference would be sufficient to convict and hold to account those in the Scottish Government, NHS Scotland, the mainstream media, in particular the BBC, and the institutions directly responsible for the imposition of, and supine acquiescence with, the grievously harmful ‘Covid’ measures. However, it has been clear over the last five years that the legal profession, most unforgivably those specialising in human rights, have been unwilling to take on cases critical of the Covid measures, and indeed must have been complicit in the drawing up of the coronavirus legislation that facilitated human rights abuses in Scotland. The actions of Police Scotland since 2020 have also demonstrated that they now work to uphold the interests of the Government and not the people. In these circumstances, there is likely to be no accountability via the legal route of those responsible for the grievous harms caused by the Covid event in Scotland.

Although this is immensely frustrating, in a sense, it is utterly irrelevant. Where faith in the legal system has been shattered, as it has in Scotland, any ruling coming out of such a system holds no moral authority in natural law. The Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Conference has unequivocally exposed the guilty in all their nakedness, and, unless repentance is shown, they will carry the corrosive burden of this guilt for the remainder of their lives. Regarding those whose actions harmed Scottish children, the most precious gift we are given in this life, “it would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to have caused one of these little ones to stumble:.

What Has the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry Achieved?

The most important achievement of the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry was to place on record what actually happened in Scotland in 2020 and beyond. The Scottish people have written their own history before it has been dictated to them by the Scottish Establishment. The belated findings of the official Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry, based as they will be on the assumption that a deadly, contagious, respiratory disease was present in Scotland in 2020, can be held up to ridicule because this base assumption has been utterly discredited.

As a result of the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry, the actions of the Government at all levels will be seen for what they were, not a panicked reaction to a real crisis, but the enactment of premeditated plans, disguised as a public health response to a concocted emergency, designed to harm and impoverish the Scottish population. NHS Scotland will no longer be viewed as the saviour of the Scottish people, but as an organisation within which patients were murdered to support the fiction that a deadly disease was at work. The media, and in particular the government mouthpiece that is the BBC, will no longer be viewed as a benchmark for truth, but as a tool for propaganda, censorship and the vilification of those daring to speak the truth. Finally, the medical profession will be seen to possess feet of clay, willing to abandon their ethical principles to retain their jobs at the expense of the patients for whom they have been trained to care.

Putting together the Scottish People’s Covid-19 Inquiry involved the organisational efforts of many members of Common Knowledge Edinburgh, as well as the time and dedication of those who presented talks. The subject matter dealt with has often been very dark, concentrating both on the suffering and death of loved ones, and on the uncaring, often malicious, and frequently unethical behaviour of those with the power to hurt. Documenting these matters at this time has been essential to ensure that the official Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry conclusions cannot set in stone the corrupt Scottish Government narrative. With this achieved, there is now the opportunity to turn away from these negative and dispiriting reflections on evil perpetrated by others, and expend our efforts, creativity, and enthusiasm in developing the foundations for a society that is full of hope for future generations. This is the direction in which Common Knowledge is now headed, and I hope you will join us in this endeavour.
