What Is the Relationship between Venezuela's Presence in Davos and the New World Order?

What we are about to describe will be done with the humility that characterizes the Venezuelan people, but with a keen awareness of our historical role at this crucial moment. A time in which we are witnessing tectonic shifts in global geopolitics that will reconfigure the model of relations between nations, ushering in a ‘New World Order’. A new order in which capitalism will continue to dominate the world stage, but in a world with diverse centres of power. We will have to see what role transnational capital is willing to assign to states in this new scenario.

Two Events That Drew a Dividing Line in Current Political History

Two recent events, in our opinion, have drawn a dividing line between the old order established after World War II and the new order that is currently being formed:

1) The Genocide in Gaza

The policy of extermination carried out by Israel in Gaza occurred under the inert gaze of the UN and other international organizations, which only issued rhetorical statements and declarations. Meanwhile, the entire world had no alternative but to witness firsthand the most horrendous crimes against the innocent Palestinian people, the massacre of children and entire families under the malevolent gaze and intent of ‘Israel’.

The so-called 'Rules-Based Order' was unable to prevent this atrocity, so the courageous peoples of the world began to raise their voices across the globe, despite the repression of fascist governments attempting to contain them. This event exposed the obsolescence of the current system, governed exclusively by the West. It generated a major global debate about the need to find a new mechanism for relations between nations, one that would allow for a more balanced justice system.

2) The US aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and his wife Cilia Flores

This crime perpetrated by the US against the Venezuelan people was, without a doubt, the catalyst in the birth of the New World Order. Why are we so categorical in this assertion? While several cowardly governments in the Americas and Europe followed the US narrative against Venezuela, out of fear of reprisals, they were all aware that these stories of narco-states, cartels 'de los soles', criminal gangs, among other fabricated narratives emanating from the rotting minds of an elite group of supremacists driven entirely by money and power. Who in their right mind could believe that the President of the nation with the world's largest oil reserves would use drug trafficking to generate revenue? It is utterly ridiculous to entertain such a concept.

Even the most bitter opponents of Bolivarianism condemned the kidnapping of President Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, calling for respect for sovereignty and rejecting the use of force as a mechanism for resolving disputes between nations. Just look at the statements from European and South American leaders. It's worth noting that these same leaders, though they may now beat their chests in outrage, were also promoters of the aggression against Venezuela when, in the recent past, they interfered in our internal affairs and were part of the narrative surrounding the infamous "acts". We will address this issue at some point. History will take care of them. Let's get back to our own business.

Davos, the Stage for the Fall of the Brand ‘Rules-Based Order’

It may seem an exaggeration to say that the attack on Venezuela divides history into a before and after on the international stage. But let's look at what happened at the Davos Forum, just two weeks after the treacherous aggression against our homeland.

To do so, it's necessary to cite some points from the nauseating speech of US President, Donald Trump, which, while full of historical inaccuracies and ignoring the simplest mathematical rules, is nonetheless a key element in understanding the reasons that led a nuclear power like the US to disproportionately bomb the noble Venezuelan people, whose only sin is demanding respect and sovereignty.

His speech began, as is customary for this narcissistic mythomaniac, with a torrent of self-praise, before he spoke for more than two minutes about the cowardly and criminal aggression against the people of Venezuela; about how the US bombed and murdered innocent people, with the sole purpose of imposing its law through force. The law of the jungle. International law and US law itself? That's toilet paper. Nobody cares anymore. Let's see what the modern Caligula said about Venezuela:

Under my leadership, US oil production is up by 730,000 barrels a day and last week, we picked up 50 million barrels from Venezuela alone.

Venezuela has been an amazing place for so many years, but then they went bad with their policies. Twenty years ago, was a great country, and now it's got problems. But we're helping them and those 50 million barrels, we're going to be splitting up with them, and they'll be making more money that they've made it a long time. Venezuela is going to do fantastically well.

We appreciate all of the cooperation. We've been giving, we've been giving great cooperation. Once the attack ended, the attack ended and they said, ‘Let's make a deal’.

Venezuela is going to make more money in the next six months than they've made in the last 20 years. Every major oil company is coming in with us. It's amazing. It's a beautiful thing to see. The leadership of the country has been very good. I've been very, very smart. The price of in many states, $2.30 a gallon in most states, then we'll soon be averaging less than $2 a gallon. It's already down even lower, $1.95 a gallon. Numerous states are at $1.99 --numbers that nobody has heard for years.

In this way, Trump made it clear in his first three minutes of speech that from now on, the will of the strongest will prevail. He is going beyond the concept of a just 'Rules-Based Order', not that it was ever intended to be such. Like a modern-day emperor, he makes it seem as if he represents the law and that what he deems appropriate will be done, and if you have any doubts, just look at what happened in Venezuela. He then said:

I want I want Europe to do great. I want UK to do great. Sitting on one of the greatest energy sources in the world, and they don't use it….. We want strong allies, not seriously weakened ones. We want Europe to be strong. Ultimately, these are matters of national security, and perhaps no current issue makes the situation more clear than what's currently going on with Greenland. Would you like me to say a few words of Greenland? I was going to leave it out of the speech, but I thought, I think I would have been reviewed very negatively.

I have tremendous respect for both the people of Greenland and the people of Denmark, tremendous respect. But every NATO ally has an obligation to be able to defend their own territory. And the fact is, no nation, or group of nations, is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States. We're a great power, much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out two weeks ago, in Venezuela.

Two weeks ago, they saw weapons that nobody ever heard of. They weren't able to fire one shot at us. They said, ‘What happened?’ Everything was discombobulated. They said, ‘We've got them in our sights. Press the trigger.’ And nothing happened. No anti-aircraft missiles went up. There was one that went up about 30 feet and crashed down, right next to the people that sent it. They said, ‘What the hell is going on those?’ Those defensive systems were made by Russia and by China. So, they're going to go back to the drawing boards, I guess.

It's the United States alone that can protect this giant mass of land, this giant piece of ice, develop it and improve it, and make it so that it's good for Europe, and safe for Europe, and good for us. And that's the reason I'm seeking immediate negotiations to, once again, discuss the acquisition of Greenland by the United States … The United States is treated very unfairly by NATO.

Venezuela is brought up again, this time with the added detail that he loves Greenland (Europe) very much and is willing to do anything to defend it. If that means bombing and destroying towns, as he did in Venezuela, he would do it, but only because they are great nations, and he only wants what's best for Europe, as well as for Venezuela. For Donald Trump, bombing and destroying towns is a benevolent act. He continued:

I also inherited a mess with Ukraine and Russia, something that would have never happened. And I know Putin very well. He and I would discuss Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye, but he wasn't going to do anything. I said, ‘Vladimir, you're not doing it.’ He would never have done it.

What does the United States get out of all of this work, all of this money – other than death, destruction, and massive amounts of cash going to people who don't appreciate what we do? They don't appreciate what we do. I’m talking about NATO, I'm talking about Europe. They have to work on Ukraine, we don’t. The United States is very far away. We have a big, beautiful ocean separating us. We have nothing to do with it.

The United States was paying for virtually 100% of NATO. And I got that stopped. I said, ‘That's not fair.’… We never ask for anything and we never got anything. We probably won't get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable. But I won't do that. Okay? Now everyone's saying, ‘Oh, good.’ That's probably the biggest statement I made, because people thought I would use force. But I don't have to use force. I don't want to use force. I won't use force. All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland.

He then brings up the issue of Ukraine, telling European leaders that the US has poured enormous economic resources into a war that is not of their making and has received nothing in return. He is suggesting that Europe could have been more grateful and handed over Greenland without any resistance.

He continued to flaunt his imperial delusions, speaking of the might and military capabilities of the US to frighten and intimidate Europe and NATO, asserting:

We were a powerful force then, but we are much more powerful force now. After I rebuilt the military in my first term, and continue to do so today, we have a budget of $1.5 trillion. We're bringing back battleships. Battleship is 100 times more powerful than the great battleships you saw in World War Two.

We're building a golden dome that's going to, just by its very nature, going to be defending Canada … They should be grateful also, but they're not. I watched your Prime Minister yesterday; he wasn't so grateful … Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that Mark, the next time you make your statements.

What we did for Israel was amazing, but that's nothing compared to what we have planned for the United States, Canada and the rest of the world. We are going to build a dome like no other”.

nd I'm dealing with President Putin … I'm dealing with President Zelenskyy … But they got to get that war stopped, because too many people are dying, needlessly dying. Too many souls are being lost. It's the only reason I’m interested in doing it. But in doing it, I'm helping Europe. I'm helping NATO, and until the last few days when I told them about Iceland (referring to Greenland), they loved me. They called me ‘daddy’ right, last time. Very smart man said, ‘He's our daddy. He's running it’.

In short, he makes it clear that Greenland will belong to the US, and neither Europe nor NATO has the power to stop him because he is the lawmaker, he is the Empire, and NATO and Europe must fall into line.

Aren't the reasons for the aggression against Venezuela clear enough yet? Let's continue with the emperor's words:

So, we want a piece of ice for world protection. And and they won't give it. We've never asked for anything else, and we could have kept that piece of land, and we didn't. So, they have a choice. You can say ‘yes ‘and we will be very appreciative, or you can say ‘no’ and we will remember.

At the end of his speech, a disgraced Caesar mocked the French president and ridiculed European leaders, concluding with the following:

The United States is back, bigger, stronger, better than ever before, and I'll see you around. Thank you all very much.

At this point, it is undeniable that the aggression against Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs, criminal groups, etc. I would even go further. Oil was not the main reason. The US has been buying oil from Venezuela uninterruptedly for over a century, and continues to do so. President Maduro repeatedly demanded the end of the blockade and that US oil companies be allowed to operate in Venezuela without blackmail and the yoke of sanctions.

It was not at all necessary to murder and terrorize women and children to gain access to Venezuelan oil. It would have been enough to lift the sanctions and allow transnational oil companies to go to Venezuela. That is what the US is doing right now. And they could have done it exactly the same way, without the need for death and destruction or the kidnapping of the President.

The Outcome of Trump's Speech Is Obvious

Following this intervention by the US President, which will go down in history as the speech with which he humiliated and brought European and NATO leaders to their knees on their own soil in Switzerland, Donald Trump held a meeting with the inept, grovelling, and utterly cowardly NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, and they both announced that they had reached a "framework for future agreement" on Greenland. What a show of subjugation of Europe and NATO by the emperor! And all this just two weeks after the aggression against Venezuela.

Conclusion

Having reached this point, we are not exaggerating when we say that the aggression against the homeland of Bolívar has divided recent history in two. January 3rd will go down in history as the day on which

  • The much-touted and highly hypocritical 'Rules-Based Order' came to an end. This order was used by the West to invade, plunder, and destroy once-prosperous nations (Iraq, Libya, and Syria), or to promote internal conflicts that still have repercussions, as in the case of the former Yugoslavia or, more recently, the Euromaidan protests, which have fuelled the resurgence of Nazism and fascism in Europe and plunged Ukraine into a fratricidal war.

  •  The birth of the New Multipolar Order, where capitalism will undoubtedly predominate, but whose existence we hope will bring greater balance to international relations.
