Taking Action to Remove Dangerous Indoctrination from English Schools—with Cathy Mudge of Protect & Teach

Disclaimer: Although all content discussed in the interview is targeted toward under-16s, adults are advised to consider whether it is appropriate to watch this disturbing but necessary interview in the presence of children.

This is another one of a series of interviews that Diane Rasmussen McAdie has recorded for UK Column on the near-ubiquitous indoctrination of today’s children into dangerous territory within UK schools such as sexualisation, queer theory, and ‘anti-racist’ activism.

Cathy Mudge is a Devon-based founding member of Protect & Teach, which is a growing group of concerned adults located around England. Members are committed to ‘protecting education from indoctrination, teaching children the truth’. The mission statement of Protect & Teach is as follows:

'We propose to protect children in education. We intend to keep our children, our grandchildren, our nephews and nieces, children in the care of the state as well as your children and grandchildren safe from gender ideology which is sweeping unchecked through educational establishments, children’s services, children’s clubs and associations, children’s television programs, children’s books and children’s entertainment. In order to further our mission we have joined with a large number of interested adults from all walks of life to pursue our stated aims in the most effective ways we can find. These other adults are welcome associates to Protect & Teach’.

As a retired midwife, Cathy is free to speak out against the insidious curriculum that has become mandatory in state-funded English schools. This includes the compulsory Relationships and Sex Education in Schools (RSE) guidance which came into effect in September 2020. After consultation, a draft revision encompassing age-appropriateness was made available in May 2024 under the previous Government. Labour have not yet responded to the revisions. Protect & Teach have responded to the recent guidance.

In the interview, Cathy discussed her knowledge of the larger agenda that has driven this content into the schools. Diane shared some of the images that she and Cathy have collected documenting the highly inappropriate events, assignments, and books that are provided to our children every day.
