UK Column News Extra — 31st August 2026

Today’s UK Column Extras starts with points raised by special guest Madeleine Hunt in our UK Column News. A regime that dominated Eastern Europe is now here—in the UK.

It was sold in other countries as a future utopia. It turned out to be anything but. This now happens in the UK.

Brainwashing is still the playbook. Parents are indoctrinated to exclusively think of children's ‘future,’ but never live life in the present. The message has always been the same. Yet, many people have not noticed.

Things are changing. Madeleine talks about challenges to local councils and government policies and how more people now do it. Madeleine describes how to stop proposals for local mayors and throws a massive spanner in the works of local and national government. The reactions from the authorities have been strong, which indicates to Madeleine that she, and the Heritage Party, are on the right track.

Brian recounts a recent story about attendance at a public meeting on proposals to develop Plymouth. Organisers were upset when Brian asked a few pertinent questions. Ben reminds the panel about his interview on UKC News last week with Plymouth councillor Sue Dann and her attitude when asked similar probing questions.

The topsy turvy nature of local government is under the spotlight. Paid officers, in full-time staff jobs, have all the power and elected officials answer to them? Surely, it should be the other way around.

Devolution is discussed. Things will be much worse if 100% controlled by those individuals at a local level.

Conversation moves to how parties like Reform and Restore respond to the Heritage Party and the interactions between them.
