Nikita Mendkovich, Head of the Eurasian Analytical Club, is a political scientist. Born in Moscow in 1984, he graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities (Moscow) in 2006. He worked as a political expert at the Centre for Contemporary Afghan Studies (2007–2013) and with the Russian International Affairs Council (2013–2015). Since 2015, he has been running the Eurasian Analytical Club non-governmental organisation, studying political processes in the post-Soviet space.
His research interests include the integration of post-Soviet countries, the terrorism threat, and Western colonisation of the newly independent states. Mendkovich is the lead or co-author of six monographs and of a large number of other research papers.
