Palace Scandals

    Sleazy Billionaire’s Double Life

According to one of his websites,, Epstein is a Middle East “armistice activist” who formed the International Peace Institute in Bahrain. According to, he prevented orphanages from folding and used his riches to build schools in poverty-stricken areas in the Virgin Islands (where he also founded the region’s first student-run radio station).

Epstein has forced ivory poachers in China to disarm, shelled out money to help cure breast cancer with 3-D screening innovations, and vowed to fight HIV, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

And Epstein continues to steer money toward universities to advance scientific research.

After serving out 13 of his 18-month jail sentence, Epstein’s back in the spotlight for a long run of allegedly pimping out underage girls to boldface power brokers with whom he palled around for decades.

Online, Epstein is crafting a whole different reality. The lascivious sex predator is out; the deep-pocketed caped crusader is most definitely in.

His Facebook page and his personal websites are filled with photos of Epstein mugging with Stephen Hawking, fractal geometry inventor Benoit Mandelbrot, and artificial-intelligence guru Marvin Minsky, to name a few.

Another big scientific brain featured on Epstein’s feeds: acclaimed theoretical physicist and cosmologist Lawrence Krauss, who counts himself as one of Epstein’s close friends.

Krauss confirmed that he’d spoken with Epstein as recently as this week.

That’s created a binary world where there are essentially two Jeffrey Epsteins.

There’s Jeffrey Epstein, the swell guy who’s trying to better mankind and gracing academic circles as a deep-pocketed, do-good intellectual.

And the pervy pimp Jeffrey Epstein, who purportedly lurked around like a fox in the Palm Beach hen house, fixing his horndog politicos with any one of his harem of pubescent girls. (video has now been removed)

Epstein’s YouTube account. The first two videos are teasers featuring two favorite cartoon characters for young girls, Dora the Explorer and Tinkerbell. Dora is seen getting dressed as a mermaid by a cursor being manned by some omniscient game player. The teasing video of the famous fairy Tinkerbell begins as a close-up as a little girl and then growing up and getting into mischief.

On their own the kids’-themed videos wouldn’t draw flags. But when a serial sex predator is playing fanboy, the gag reflex kicks in.

Jeffrey Epstein's attempt to hide lawsuit imploded when lawyer refused to sign confidentiality agreement: court papers

    Friday, January 9, 2015

Epstein, 61, recently tried to make an embarrassing lawsuit against him go away by paying $300,000 — but the deal imploded when the lawyer he was suing refused to sign off on a confidentiality agreement, according to court papers.

The sensational case started with the freaky financier suing the lawyer, Bradley Edwards, in 2009. Edwards was representing Virginia Roberts and several other women who said they were minors when they were recruited into performing sex acts on Epstein for money.

Epstein, who pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor in 2008, charged that Edwards was part of a racketeering scheme engineered by another dirty lawyer, and that he was wrongfully asking questions about Epstein’s pals, including the prince and former President Bill Clinton.

Edwards fought the claim, which wound up revealing that Epstein had a black book loaded with numerous numbers for Clinton and other powerful pols and celebrities, and then filed a counterclaim, charging Epstein with malicious prosecution.

Edwards turned down the deal because of Epstein’s insistence on a confidentiality clause that would have barred him from revealing the existence of the deal to the victims he’s representing, said his lawyer, Jack Scarola.

WORST IS YET TO COME: How Prince Andrew’s life fell apart

Police in Fort Lauderdale and the FBI were stunned Epstein’s lawyers were able to force prosecutors to accept the lesser charge in exchange for an 18-month jail term, later reduced to 13 months, when they apparently had damning evidence the financier was effectively keeping at least 17 underage sex slaves to service the needs of him and his rich and famous friends around the world and filming their exploits should those friends ever need to be reminded of who their friends were.

To suggest the motion was dynamite back in London would be an understatement with Buckingham Palace issuing a flurry of denials and going into full damage control not seen since the scandals of Squidgygate involving Princess of Wales Lady Diana more than 20 years ago or the Camillagate Tapes involving her then husband Prince Charles and his special consort now wife Camilla.

In 2010 one former model Adriana Ross who worked for Epstein was asked whether she had seen evidence of royal underage sex to which she replied “I refuse to answer”. She was one of four named “co-conspirators” with another Yugoslav model Nadia Marcinkova, Epstein’s alleged “live in sex slave” who when asked if she had been made to perform a sex act on the prince replied simply “fifth”, as did Epstein former PA Sarah Kellen who has been accused in court of introducing underage girls to Epstein. When asked about Prince Andrew and allegation of child sex she replied: “On the instruction of my lawyer I must invoke my Fifth Amendment privilege.”

Locked away documents also detail apparently, in more than 500 pages of evidence, “letters of recommendation” apparently written by high flying friends of Epstein arguing his good character. The claim by Roberts lawyers was that he used his “significant social and political influence” to exert pressure for a plea deal. The palace issued a statement stating the prince would never interfere in a legal matter.

t’s a tough position for the prince but until he speaks publicly more claims will no doubt emerge and further tarnish his reputation, which many in England would argue was already beyond saving, but also that of his family.

Prince Andrew plans no legal action against woman claiming sex abuse

    January 7, 2015

An innocent person, with unlimited resources at their disposal, would be taking action against someone from defaming them, if the allegations were untrue.

The most common false accusation introduces a possible claim for defamation. Defamation claims arise in order to protect an individual’s reputation.

It is important to note that a defamation lawyer will be seeking compensation for damage to a claimant’s reputation and not simply for injured feelings.

Libel applies when the damage to an individual’s reputation has been caused by something which takes a permanent form, for example an article in a newspaper.

A lawyer bringing a defamation case on your behalf will need to show that the defamatory remarks are about you and that other people know they are about you. If nobody else realised the comments were about you then your reputation will not have been affected and you will have no claim in defamation. They will then need to show that the remarks have caused your reputation to drop in the eyes of the people who heard/read the remarks.

The main defence to defamation is if the statement was, in fact, true.  A solicitor will also be able to raise a defence if the comments were in the public interest, and are deemed reasonable comment in a democratic society. This usually occurs in the 'comment’ section of a newspaper.

If you feel you have been falsely accused of something you should contact a solicitor who will be able to give specific advice according to your circumstances.

Speaking of New York’s Stony Brook University...Mary Pearl, a dean and vice president at Stony Brook is a member of The Belizean Grove,

The Belizean Grove, an elite but little-known women’s-only group.

Founded nearly 10 years ago as the female answer to the Bohemian Grove — a secretive all-male club whose members have included former U.S. presidents and top business leaders — the Belizean Grove has about 125 members, including Army generals, Wall Street executives and former ambassadors.

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor last year accepted an invitation to join the Belizean Grove, the elite but little-known women’s-only group

Sotomayor’s membership in the New York-based group became public Thursday afternoon in a questionnaire submitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Since then, the group has been deluged with press calls, said its founder, Susan Stautberg, who explained that “we like to be under the radar screen.”

The Belizean Grove is an elite, invitation-only American women's social club, located at 17 East 89th Street in New York City.[1][2] Founded in 1999 by Susan Stautberg, a former Westinghouse Broadcasting executive, and Edie Weiner, a futurist,[3] the Belizean Grove includes approximately 115 to 125 influential members from the military, financial, and diplomatic sectors. It is the female equivalent to the male-only social group, the Bohemian Club, whose annual meetings are held at the Bohemian Grove in California.[2] The Belizean Grove meets annually in Belize or similar Central American locations.[4] They also meet in New York and other U.S. cities, for activities they describe as "a balance of fun, substantive programs and bonding".

The group — which on its website describes itself as “a constellation of influential women who are key decision makers in the profit, nonprofit and social sectors; who build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships in order to both take charge of their own destinies and help others to do the same” — hosts periodic meetings around New York, as well as an annual off-the-record three-day retreat in Central or South America at which its members attend cocktail parties with U.S. diplomats and host-country officials and participate in panel discussions on public policy and business affairs.

Sotomayor, a federal appellate judge, gave a presentation on the challenges the judiciary faces in maintaining its independence from the legislative and executive branches.

said Grove member Cathy Allen, the chief executive officer of a financial services firm in Santa Fe, N.M. Allen said she didn’t take notes on the speech and added, “Everything we do is off the record.”

Mary Pearl, a dean and vice president at New York’s Stony Brook University, called the talk “inspiring” and said she came away from it impressed by Sotomayor’s “profound respect for the Constitution and our legal framework in this country.”

Notable members of the Belizean Grove include former General Services Administration Administrator Lurita Doan and U.S. Army General Ann E. Dunwoody.[2][6] High-level executives from Goldman Sachs, Victoria's Secret, and Harley-Davidson also belong to the Grove, as do some ambassadors.[5] Other business leaders include: Davia Temin,[7] CEO and Founder of Temin and Company, Catherina Allen, CEO of Santa Fe Group,[8] and Ann Kaplan of Circle Financial Group.

the group charges a couple hundred dollar membership fee and also participates in charitable work.

Something else in Jeffrey Epstein's background that doesn't "add" up:

Epstein studied math but never got his bachelor’s degree. He wound up teaching calculus and physics at New York’s Dalton School, where his passion for teaching and mathematics caught the attention of one Wall Street father.

"He was born in a rough Brooklyn neighbourhood, and never obtained a college degree. In 1976, he was plucked from a seemingly ordinary life as a mathematics teacher at a Manhattan private school in 1976 and given a job at the investment bank Bear Stearns."

Dalton - such an elite school - only the best for the best...unusual that they chose, for that prestigious teaching position, someone, who had only a high school (secondary) degree... "passionate" or not...seems unusual to say the least,

Wonder what kind of degrees Dalton's current calc & physics teacher has.

How can we rely on the BBC to report the Prince Andrew story fairly when Savile was left to abuse children under their watch for 40 years?

    The Talented Mr. Epstein

    March 2003

“He’s very enigmatic,” says Rosa Monckton, the former C.E.O. of Tiffany & Co. in the U.K. and a close friend since the early 1980s.“

Rosa Monckton recalls Epstein telling her that her daughter, Domenica, who suffers from Down syndrome, needed the sun, and that Rosa should feel free to bring her to his house in Palm Beach anytime.

Some of the businessmen who dine with him at his home—they include newspaper publisher Mort Zuckerman, banker Louis Ranieri, Revlon chairman Ronald Perelman, real-estate tycoon Leon Black, former Microsoft executive Nathan Myhrvold, Tom Pritzker (of Hyatt Hotels), and real-estate personality Donald Trump—sometimes seem not all that clear as to what he actually does to earn his millions. Certainly, you won’t find Epstein’s transactions written about on Bloomberg or talked about in the trading rooms. “The trading desks don’t seem to know him. It’s unusual for animals that big not to leave any footprints in the snow,” says a high-level investment manager.

Since Leslie Wexner appeared in his life—Epstein has said this was in 1986; others say it was in 1989, at the earliest—he has gradually, in a way that has not generally made headlines, come to be accepted by the Establishment. He’s a member of various commissions and councils: he is on the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of International Education.

His current fan club extends to Cayne, Henry Rosovsky, the former dean of Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Larry Summers, Harvard’s current president. Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz says, “I’m on my 20th book…. The only person outside of my immediate family that I send drafts to is Jeffrey.”

According to S.E.C. and other legal documents unearthed by VANITY FAIR, Epstein may have good reason to keep his past cloaked in secrecy: his real mentor, it might seem, was not Leslie Wexner but Steven Jude Hoffenberg, 57, who, for a few months before the S.E.C. sued to freeze his assets in 1993, was trying to buy the New York Post. He is currently incarcerated in the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Massachusetts, serving a 20-year sentence for bilking investors out of more than $450 million in one of the largest Ponzi schemes in American history.

According to Hoffenberg, the two men were introduced by Douglas Leese, a defense contractor. Epstein has said they were introduced by John Mitchell, the late attorney general.

Also appealing to Hoffenberg were Epstein’s social connections; they included oil mogul Cece Wang (father of the designer Vera) and Mohan Murjani, whose clothing company grew into Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans.

In 1981 the S.E.C.’s Jonathan Harris and Robert Blackburn took Epstein’s testimony and that of other Bear Stearns employees in part of what became a protracted case about insider trading around a tender offer placed on March 11, 1981, by the Seagram Company Ltd. for St. Joe Minerals Corp. Ultimately several Italian and Swiss investors were found guilty, including Italian financier Giuseppe Tome, who had used his relationship with Seagram owner Edgar Bronfman Sr. to obtain information about the tender offer.

After the tender offer was announced, the S.E.C. began investigating trades involving St. Joe at Bear Stearns and other firms. Epstein resigned from Bear Stearns on March 12. The S.E.C. was tipped off that Epstein had information on insider trading at Bear Stearns, and it was therefore obliged to question him. In his S.E.C. testimony, given on April 1, 1981, Epstein claimed that he had found “offensive” the way Bear Stearns management had handled a disciplinary action following its discovery that he had committed a possible “Reg D” violation—evidently he had lent money to his closest friend. (In the 1989 deposition he said that he’d lent approximately $20,000 to Warren Eisenstein, to buy stock.) Such an action could have been considered improper, although Epstein claimed he had not realized this until afterward.

Epstein’s appointment to the board of New York’s Rockefeller University in 2000 brought him into greater social prominence. Boasting such social names as Nancy Kissinger, Brooke Astor, and Robert Bass, the board also includes such pre-eminent scientists as Nobel laureate JoseEpstein has pledged at least $25 million to Harvard to create the Epstein Program for Mathematical Biology and Evolutionary Dynamics, and Epstein will have an office at the university. The program will be dedicated to searching for nature’s algorithms, a pursuit that is a specialty of Nowak’s. For Epstein this must be the summit of everything he has worked toward: he has been seen proudly displaying Harvard president Larry Summers’s letter of commitment as if he can’t quite believe it is real. He says he was reluctant to have his name attached to the program, but Summers persuaded Goldstein.

Scotland Yard should forget about Diana, says "friend" Rosa Monckton

ONE of Princess Diana’s closest friends has hit out at Scotland Yard for taking seriously “wild allegations” made by a former SAS soldier that she was murdered.

The man, known only as Soldier N, has alleged there was a plot by elite troops to arrange the Princess’s death in a Paris underpass and then cover it up as an accident.

Last night Alan Power, author of The Princess Diana Conspiracy, said:

“This ‘scoping exercise’ will simply be another cover-up.

“The establishment will do everything it can to neutralise the truth and then withhold it as part of another whitewash.”

He has twice offered to speak to detectives over allegations about the Princess’s death made in his book but nobody from the Yard has interviewed him.

Rosa Monckton admits 'close' link to MI6

    15 Dec 2007

Miss Monckton told the inquest into the princess's death that she personally had "no connection with the security services" but that "someone close to me is connected with the SIS".

The Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6, protects British interests abroad.

Mohamed Fayed has repeatedly alleged that its agents were involved in a conspiracy that led to the death of the princess and his son, Dodi, in the car crash in Paris in 1997.

Ian Burnett, QC, counsel for the inquest, said that Mr Fayed had stated: "Rosa Monckton was used to discredit my statements about a relationship between my son and Princess Diana. Rosa Monckton established a relationship with Princess Diana simply to pass information she obtained to MI6."

Monckton is the daughter of Marianna Laetitia Bower and Gilbert Monckton, 2nd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley and was educated at the Ursuline Convent at Tildonk in Belgium.[2] She is married to the journalist Dominic Lawson. They have two daughters, Domenica and Savannah. Domenica Lawson has Down's syndrome and her godmother was Diana, Princess of Wales.

Dominic Lawson's brother-in-law at the time, Anthony Monckton, was himself a serving MI6 officer, who was to take over the Zagreb station in the Balkans in 1996.

Rosa Lawson is a fundraiser and supports several charities relating to children and Down's syndrome

One of the main motives which have been advanced for alleged murder include suggestions Diana was pregnant with Dodi Fayed's child and the couple were about to get engaged. The alleged dislike of the idea of a non-Christian within the British Royal Family meant such a relationship between the mother of the future king and a prominent Egyptian Muslim would not be tolerated.[28] In Al-Fayed's view, which he repeated in court at the inquest in February 2008, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Diana's sister, and numerous others, were all involved in a plot to kill the Princess and Dodi Fayed, his son

In December 2003, Daily Mail journalist Sue Reid, with whom we have worked in the past investigating the alleged ‘suicide’ of Dr David Kelly, quoted a source, who insisted on remaining anonymous, saying that Diana went to a leading London hospital to undergo a pregnancy scan, days before she joined Dodi on holiday. The result is unknown and the test was conducted in the utmost secrecy.

But then Diana’s self-confessed ‘best friend’ Rosa Monckton, claims that Diana menstruated only a week before the crash, while they were on holiday in Greece. It is clear that Monckton believes she cannot be challenged on this issue but former MI6 officer Richard Tomlinson alleges that Rosa’s husband, Dominic Lawson, former editor of the Sunday Telegraph newspaper and Spectator magazine, provided journalistic cover for MI6 officers while he was editor of The Spectator.

Rosa’s brother, the Honourable Anthony Leopold Colyer Monckton, a diplomat, was also an MI6 spy according to Tomlinson. It should be noted that Dominic Lawson has never sued any publication or person for alleging he was an MI6 stringer. Dominic Lawson, is of course, the son of former Tory Chancellor Nigel Lawson and brother of famous TV ‘kitchen goddess’ Nigella Lawson. The very same Nigel Lawson who detested Mohamed Al Fayed for besmirching his beloved Tories.

Rosa Monckton, a generation older, made an odd friend for the often unhappy princess. A svelte sophisticate and a wealthy working woman, her first relationships and loyalties lay, almost from when she was born, with the Queen. She was a regular visitor to the royal household all her life and was, for that reason, more given to loyalty to the crown than to an unhappy and disruptive outsider, one who was seriously damaging the public image of the royal family.’

On closer inspection, the relationship between Monckton and the ‘disruptive’ Diana, is somewhat inexplicable, perhaps just very odd. Diana was a fashion goddess and fitness fanatic who delighted in shopping and modern music. Monckton, by contrast, is a highly cerebral woman of the world, married to a man with links to MI6 that no journalist or newspaper editor should ever have.

Jane Tawbase also raises two further questions on this murky subject and throws more light on the matter than most before or after her. She wrote:

‘Whether Rosa Monckton introduced her brother to the princess and whether he was part of the MI6 operation. It was almost unthinkable that he was not.’ In her second point she wrote:

‘Did MI6 ask Rosa Monckton to do the key job of moving into the princess’s inner circle and become her confidante? It would certainly have made the job easier.’

In these circumstances, it is perhaps understandable that Rosa Monckton declared that Diana was not pregnant. It must also be noted that no one else can give witness to Monckton’s suggestion that Diana menstruated while they holidayed in Greece, nor should her statement be regarded as fact, it is opinion. Monckton simply expects everyone to believe her version of events because she was Diana’s ‘friend’. And again, it must be stated that Diana abhorred everything to do with the State and was convinced that hired assassins were trying to kill her. It is puzzling why Diana formed a friendship with Monckton.

Every Property Owned by Sleazy Financier Jeffrey Epstein (excerpt)

    Friday, January 9, 2015,

The island is where Epstein's alleged "sex slave" Virginia Roberts claimed he made her take part in orgies, including one where she was allegedly forced to have sex with Prince Andrew.

According to the Mirror, the island could at one time be rented for £4K (~$6K) a night.

Over the years, it's hosted the conferences held by the Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation, which have drawn the likes of Stephen Hawking. Roberts claims she met Bill Clinton once on the island, when he was there to dine with Epstein.

Court papers claim that at other times, visitors included "prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well known prime minister and other world leaders."

In 1961, the mansion became home to the Birch Wathen School, which it remained until Leslie H. Wexner, the founding chairman of the Limited Inc., bought it in 1989 for $13.2M. ...he sumptuously decorated, expensively renovated pied-à-terre as the latest "puzzling" "status symbol of the ultra rich," when it reported that Wexner never spent more than a few months in the home. This was back when the scarcely used pied-à-terre was a smaller part of the Manhattan real estate makeup.

Visitors described a bathroom reminiscent of James Bond movies: hidden beneath a stairway, lined with lead to provide shelter from attack and supplied with closed-circuit television screens and a telephone, both concealed in a cabinet beneath the sink. The house also has a heated sidewalk, a luxurious provision that explains why, while snow blankets the rest of the Eastern Seaboard, the Wexner house (and Bill Cosby's house across the street) remains opulently snow-free, much to the delight of neighborhood dogs.

in 1995, Wexner turned the home over to Epstein, who was his protege and financial advisor (and much more, if you believe Gawker CEO Nick Denton's rather convincing argument) because, on the face of it, his new wife "expressed greater enthusiasm for bringing up their two young children in Columbus, Ohio."

In 2007, when model Maximilia Cordero filed suit against Epstein for statutory rape and sexual assault (the suit was later dismissed), her lawyer included a description of what has by now become a legendary piece of puerile decor in chez Epstein: "[The] defendant gave plaintiff a tour of his mansion, showing her a huge crystal staircase with a huge crystal ball by the railing, ceiling chandeliers, a lounge room with red chairs, a statute [sic] of a dog with a statute [sic] of dog feces next to it" (emphasis ours).

The entrance hall is decorated not with paintings but with row upon row of individually framed eyeballs; these, the owner tells people with relish, were imported from England, where they were made for injured soldiers.

    (Rather Savilesque -

"Necklace that Jimmy Savile made from glass eye stolen off corpse was auctioned for £75 ...)

On the desk, a paperback copy of the Marquis de Sade's The Misfortunes of Virtue was recently spotted.

Epstein's Palm Beach mansion, once valued at $6.8M, was at the center of the undercover investigation that eventually led to Epstein pleading guilty to a single state charge of soliciting prostitution, becoming a registered sex offender, and serving 13 months out of an 18-month sentence.

Rosa Monckton recalls Epstein telling her that her daughter, Domenica, who suffers from Down syndrome, needed the sun, and that Rosa should feel free to bring her to his house in Palm Beach anytime.

Rosa Monckton and Prince Charles are amused by model Svetlana Dembrikala

According to a rather lurid Daily Beast article published in 2010, a police search of the property turned up:

large, framed photos of nude young girls, and similar images... stashed in an armoire and on the computers seized at the house (although police found only bare cables where other computers had been). Some bathrooms were stocked with soap in the shape of sex organs, and various sex toys, such as a "twin torpedo" vibrator and creams and lubricants available at erotic specialty shops, were stowed near the massage tables set up in several rooms upstairs.

    Zorro Ranch

    Stanley, New Mexico

In 1993, Epstein purchased a 7,500-acre ranch in Stanley, New Mexico, from the late former New Mexico governor Bruce King. He named the ranch "Zorro," and proceeded to build a 26,700-square-foot hilltop mansion that was once said to be the largest home in the state, and has been described as a "stone fortress."

According to records accessed on Property Shark, the structures on the property were last appraised in 2013 at $18,186,406. In the recent court filing in Florida, Roberts names Zorro Ranch as one of the place she was sexually abused by Epstein, as well as forced to have sex with Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. The Last time Epstein made news in New Mexico, it was when it was revealed that he attempted to contribute to the reelection campaign of former Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Gary King in 2006.

Epstein owns an apartment on Paris' ritzy Avenue Foch.

Said to be the only reason Bill Clinton was ever friends with Epstein—that and his campaign donations to democrats—though many in the conservative media are surely speculating otherwise. In September of 2002, Clinton had a weeklong tour of South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, and Mozambique coming up to promote anti-AIDS efforts, and former Clinton advisor Doug Band encouraged Epstein to come along and provide the ride. Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker were there, too,

Looking to get your kid enrolled in one of the top private schools in the country? Here are the people you need to target.

According to Forbes‘ 2010 assessment, five of the nation’s top 10 prep schools are located in New York City. Cultivating the nation’s next crop of Ivy Leaguers, bankers, lawyers, and Senators, these institutions are calling all Tiger Moms and Proud Papas to invest in the future of their little ones.

    The boarding school set.

    Who: Ellen Stein

Position: Head of School at Dalton

    Salary: $528,118

Lowdown: Having graduated Dalton in 1965, Ms. Stein knows the ropes. “Guided by the Dalton Plan, the School well prepares students to “go forth unafraid” not only as academically strong graduates, but also as informed, intuitive, and responsible social citizens,” her welcome letter on the Dalton website states. Ms. Stein drew the ire of students and free press advocates alike when in 2009 she permitted Justice Anthony Kennedy to pre-read (and edit) an article about a speech he gave at the school that was to be featured in the The Daltonian. “I think fact checking is a good thing,” she told The Times in a piece written about the incident.

    Who: Elisabeth Krents

    What: Director of admissions, Dalton

Lowdown: A Dalton girl herself (from the great class of 1968) Elisabeth “Babby” Krents currently serves as the gatekeeper to the Upper East Side school. With alumni like Anderson Cooper, Claire Danes and Chevy Chase, Ms. Krents has a tough job, tasked with handpicking the next set of Daltonians. Ms. Krents is credited with diversifying the school, transforming it from a known WASP hive to a liberal loving bastion of diversity—hello, Sean Lennon! According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, “Nearly half of the incoming kindergarten class will be students of color” at Dalton this year. We didn’t realize that ‘students of color’ was the appropriate term, but kudos to Ms. Krents. The year before she joined the admissions department, “the kindergarten class was 6 percent diverse.” We think that means 94 percent rich and white.

Headmaster at Dalton Resigns Under Pressure

    March 13, 1997

The headmaster of one of New York's most prestigious private schools resigned under pressure late Tuesday, saying his decision was prompted by trustees' concerns about both his leadership of the school and his personal life.

School officials said Dr. Dunnan's resignation was prompted in part by his affair with a married female teacher, who continues to work at the school.

''Of late, some board members have raised concerns about my personal life, governance and the educational direction of the school,'' Gardner P. Dunnan, the longtime headmaster of the Dalton School, said in a resignation letter to the board.

In a letter yesterday to the ''Dalton Community,'' Ms. Neff praised Dr. Dunnan for guiding the institution to a ''position of pre-eminence'' and for his leadership in raising what she said was more than $24 million for the school.

    The Leap

Next week, Teddy Graubard would have graduated from Dalton—a brilliant teenager

Teddy at his bar mitzvah with his brother, Clay, and his mother, Carla.

    May 30, 2010

Teddy stood before the eleventh-story window. Other than figuring out how to fold his large body through its small opening, what was he thinking?

Teddy was a physics prodigy, having taught himself the subject from a college textbook in eighth grade. In math, too, he was the one who could always find the quickest solution to a problem. But what was the problem he was trying to solve by jumping?

When 17-year-old Teddy Graubard landed on the sidewalk in front of the Dalton School at around eleven o’clock on a cloudy, cold February morning last year, just as fourth-graders were emerging for “playstreet” on the closed-off block of East 89th Street between Lexington and Park, no one could understand what had propelled him to commit such a terrible act.

How did a generally happy and inarguably brilliant eleventh-grader, who would likely have achieved honors at next week’s graduation had he lived, come to believe his world was over?

He had recently been accepted to a summer internship in value investing at Columbia Business School, was hoping to fit in a three-day “throws” camp (javelin, discus, shot put) in July, and had just persuaded Carla to let him order new track shoes online.

She did not yet know of the foolish plan he would hatch over the next few hours, and how it would lead step by step, through narrower and narrower hallways of thought, to the eleventh-floor window that was just wide enough.

...the teacher, suspecting something, had asked members of the technology department to monitor Teddy’s laptop remotely

Teddy left the room, had a brief exchange with an acquaintance in the cafeteria (“What’s up?” “I’m hungry”), and then headed upstairs.

Perhaps the most double-edged of Teddy’s binary qualities was his sense of honor, of living by the rules: Even in a world of “cutthroat Dalton private-school things,” Beaton says, “he was not the type of kid who would let someone say something bad about a friend in front of him.” Another friend recalled how with a shake of his finger he would chide classmates for texting in class. “Teddy’s moral code was incredibly strict,” says Stephen Puschel, who, with his brother Andrew, tutored Teddy, tag-team style, four days a week. “He took honesty and integrity more seriously than almost anyone I ever met.”

He must have climbed atop a radiator and used the stacked ballet bars above it as a kind of ladder. (One broke.) A safety device prevented the bottom sash of the window from opening more than a few inches, but the top sash lowered all the way.

How someone from Dalton called to say there had been an accident and Carla should come right away; how she was then allowed to happen upon the tarp-covered body alone; how she had to ask, “Is that Teddy?” and “Is he dead?”—these are things she won’t talk about. Nor will Dalton, whose administrators, citing privacy concerns, declined to comment beyond saying that “the Dalton community continues to honor the memory of Teddy Graubard.”

The Dalton School, one of New York City’s most prestigious private schools, has apologized after screening a satirical movie about a world in which the South won the Civil War.

The film, titled “C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America,” was shown to sophomores at a presentation of history projects on Monday. Its edgy and comical treatment of slavery quickly led to complaints, and on Wednesday, the school met with students and parents to apologize.

One ad promotes Confederate Family insurance. “For over 100 years, protecting people and their property,” a narrator says as a slave smiles at the camera. Another markets a tracking device called the Shackle, a “revolutionary new way of servant monitoring.”

In interviews, Dalton students said that some felt the film was insensitive to the struggle of blacks and made light of slavery.

“C.S.A.” opens with a quote attributed to George Bernard Shaw: “If you’re going to tell people the truth, you’d better make them laugh; otherwise they’ll kill you.”

Dalton rejects too scared to criticize prep-school privacy breach

It’s the private school New York’s richest are terrified to criticize.

Parents whose kids were rejected for kindergarten admission to The Dalton School — and then learned that confidential information was put in an e-mail to fund-raisers — were shocked and incensed but didn’t dare speak out, education consultants say.

Dalton’s head of school Ellen Stein — who made $627,308 in salary and benefits in 2010-11 — has apologized for the breach of privacy. But she refused to identify the staffer who sent the e-mail or say whether anyone will be disciplined.

Officials need not fear an uprising. Despite their anger, the parents are “terrified” about complaining, Haddad said.

Hillary 2016 And Bill Clinton’s ‘Possible Connection’ To The Jeffrey Epstein Underage Sex Scandal

    January 9, 2015

Bill Clinton With Bunny Brothel Prostitutes

At Jeffrey Epstein's Palm Beach Florida mansion.:

“Cops surreptitiously collected the trash from in front of Epstein’s Palm Beach home. The refuse included documents with the names of some of his many underage masseuses, as well as an invoice for the purchase of sex slave books like ‘SlaveCraft: Roadmaps for Erotic Servitude–Principles, Skills and Tools,’ ‘Training with Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and Their Owners,’ and ‘SM 101: A Realistic Introduction.'”

Clinton’s opponents are watching the latest developments keenly because new information could emerge that could get Clinton mired in a new sordid sex scandal at a time that his wife Hillary Clinton appears to be preparing for a White House run.

And Clinton’s case is certainly not helped by a recent photo showing him posing with two well known Nevada Bunny Brothel prostitutes, Barbie Girl and Ava Adora.

Fears will linger in the Clinton political camp that new revelations about Bill Clinton’s links with Epstein could scuttle Hillary’s run for president in 2016

Bid for new charges against Prince Andrew pal Jeffrey Epstein

    January 10, 2015

...lawyers for four of his victims are hoping his luck has run out — they’re fighting to get a federal non-prosecution agreement against Epstein thrown out so he can potentially face criminal charges for allegedly sexually abusing the women, one of whom says she was only 13 at the time of the assault.

“The immediate goal is to find out how a serial child molester who molested young females hundreds of times has gotten off with a state slap on the wrist.”

When he was released on home detention, he was allowed to travel to his mansion in New York and his 78-acre estate in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Palm Beach Daily News reported....

Investigators presented what they thought was a slam dunk case to Palm Beach prosecutors, but they quickly ran into roadblocks

Epstein pushed back hard against the allegations. He took a polygraph test and lined up a murderer’s row of lawyers, including

Jay Lefkowitz, a former deputy director of domestic policy at the White House under President George W. Bush,

Ken Starr, the former Whitewater special prosecutor who investigated President Bill Clinton,

More recently, he has worked on the defense of security contractor Blackwater International in lawsuits involving the deaths of civilian contractors in Iraq

    Alan Dershowitz and Roy Black

Roy Black  is a civil and criminal defense trial attorney. He is best known for his gaining an acquittal, in 1991, of William Kennedy Smith on charges of rape and for his representation of conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh. Other celebrities whom Black has represented include actor Kelsey Grammer, racer Helio Castroneves, Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, artist Peter Max,[1] billionaire Jeffrey Epstein,[2] and Justin Bieber.

Funny thing, because when it comes to celebrities attending The Blacks’ Annual Gala in Miami Beach, Black and his wife, Lea, can always count on those he extracted from the criminal justice system.

Girls Gone Wild‘s Joe Francis was one of them. He once had tax and public morals problems, but Black made it all better. So he came to the Fontainebleau Miami Beach for the big party.

Black, after all, kicked off the open bar, three-course fiesta with this announcement to the 1,000-plus guests who’d paid up to $1,000 each: “If you guys don’t get drunk and dance on the tables, then this party has failed!”

Jeffrey Epstein underage models supplied by Jean Luc Brunel, says court document

    January 10, 2015

According to a lawsuit which was reported upon by The Times of London on Friday, Epstein - who allegedly provided a 17-year-old sex slave named Virginia Roberts from 1999 to 2002 - is now accused of involvement with other teen girls within his escapades. Brunel, described as a honcho in the fashion industry, had a topless photo shoot with underage models from Russia, according to accusations by Roberts. Some of the underage girls were as young as 12 years old, and they were reportedly provided to Brunel's friends, persons such as Epstein. This information is available in court documents regarding the case. …

Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire financier who the FBI believes molested around 40 underaged girls, was assisted by a prominent modeling agent and scout. Here's what we know about Jean Luc Brunel.

Jeffrey Epstein, you will no doubt recall, is the man who thought ferrying Bill Clinton on his private jet, lawyering up with superstar Alan Dershowitz, and making frequent $100,000 donations to the Palm Beach Police Department would insulate him from prosecution for his various depravities.

Jean Luc Brunel supplied Jeffery Epstein with underage girls for orgy with Prince Andrew

     January 10, 2015

The boss of a hot New York modeling agency supplied Jeffery Epstein with underage girls for an orgy with Prince Andrew, court documents claim.

Jean Luc Brunel — credited with discovering Christy Turlington, Milla Jovovich and other famous faces — is accused of recruiting aspiring young models for sex with his powerful pals, The Times of London reported on Friday.

Epstein — who allegedly pimped out 17-year-old “sex slave” Virginia Roberts from 1999 to 2002 — brought teenage girls to his private Caribbean island and ordered them to have sex with Prince Andrew, a lawsuit claims.

Brunel scored US passports for girls as young as 12 — then passed the minors off to pervy pals like Epstein,

Roberts claims Epstein forced her to have sex with Brunel, co-founder of MC2 Model Management, at his home in West Palm Beach, Fla., in New York, California and several other spots.

Well guess what, Steve wyatts father went to prison for part in a fraud in Iraq, his real father went to prison for murdering a barmaid whilst allegedly under the influence of LSD.  These two are up to their necks in it.

Scotland Yard urged to probe Prince Andrew's bodyguards over sex scandal

Calls are made for an investigation into how much Prince Andrew's bodyguards witnessed at parties thrown by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein

    2 Jan 2015

Scotland Yard has come under pressure to investigate whether Prince Andrew’s bodyguards witnessed any criminal activity during his visits to the home of a convicted sex offender.

Protection officers who accompanied the Duke to Jeffrey Epstein’s mansion in Florida, where he is alleged to have partied with naked young women, have been accused of turning a blind eye.

Members of the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee have called on Scotland Yard to look into how much the Duke’s protection officers might have witnessed at Epstein’s parties.

Dai Davies, a former head of the royal protection unit, told the Daily Mail that the bodyguards might be able to corroborate Prince Andrew's account that he never had sexual relations with his accuser.

Meanwhile, Juan Alessi, who was Epstein’s butler for more than a decade, said the royal had attended the American businessman’s house in Florida, where a party was held, with security.

“He had his two bodyguards from Scotland Yard. I can remember their names,” Mr Alessi said.

“The bodyguards were off duty and they slept in one of the guest bedrooms.”

Scotland Yard has declined to comment.

A royalty protection source said: 'Epstein's Florida mansion appears to have resembled a five-star brothel. And Epstein behaved like a pimp.

'I would have expected protection officers to have advised the duke to leave immediately.

'If they did not, the big question is why? The problem is that protection officers are very well paid – some get up to £80,000 a year which is double their basic pay – because of overtime and special allowances.

...there were calls yesterday for Scotland Yard to investigate whether Andrew's protection officers suspected or witnessed any criminal activity at Epstein's homes.

Scandal never far from Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson

    January 10, 2015

(Prince Andrew  - Britain's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment)

"Junor said despite the controversy, she understood from a former Thatcher government minister that the duke was "incredibly effective" in his trade role"

Junor said she thinks the prince will ultimately have to sue to clear his name.

"If it is untrue, it is important that he fights it," she said.

London Mayor Boris Johnson also backed the embattled royal this week, saying he did "a huge amount of unsung, unheralded work for this country".

"Randy Andy", formally the Duke of York, is never far from the headlines. His connections to a string of Middle Eastern despots and their offspring (many now dead or in exile following the Arab Spring), "shady financiers", accused money-launderers, convicted gun-runners, porn-star girlfriends, his profligate ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and billionaire convicted child-sex offender Jeffrey Epstein...

Several months after her "gutter" moment, Fergie accepted £15,000 from Epstein to help pay some of her £5 million debt. The prince had flown to New York to secure the deal.

Soon after the Epstein cash revelations it emerged Fergie had also accepted £40,000 towards her debts from David "Spotty" Rowland – a property developer and tax exile once described in Parliament as a "shady financier".

Prince Andrew's friendship circle reads like a Middle East Who's Who. There's the glamorous "Bond girl" oil baroness, several iron-fisted leaders and their families (including the Gaddafis), the billionaire Kazakh playboy, the Tunisian alleged money-launderer, and the convicted Libyan arms runner – all of whom have landed him in hot water.

In 2007, the Duke of York sold his 12-bedroom Sunninghill Park mansion in Berkshire for £15 million. It was a good deal – £3 million above the asking price and with only one bidder.

The buyer was billionaire, Timur Kulibayev – the son-in-law of Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Kulibayev is a former lover of Goga Ashkenazi, the socialite and oil tycoon once described as a real-life "Bond girl" who, perhaps unhelpfully, waded in to support the prince in the wake of the 2011 Epstein scandal.

The duke reportedly met Colonel Gaddafi twice and Saif on several occasions. One of those was said to be to secure the release from a British prison of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al Megrahi. (Magic Circle link) Buckingham Palace denies that meeting took place, but Gaddafi said it did.

Al Megrahi, whose terrorist actions in helping blow up Pan Am flight 103 over Scotland in 1988 killed 270 people, was given a hero's welcome in Libya.

Colonel Gaddafi was friends with convicted gun-runner Tarek Kaituni, who showered the prince with gifts including a Tunisian holiday, an £18,000 necklace for Princess Beatrice and several expensive watches worth up to £175,000.

The duke has also hosted functions at Buckingham Palace for Sakher el-Materi, the son of deposed Tunisian president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, who is now under investigation for corruption and money laundering.

The latest scandal ...comes at the same time as her eldest, Prince Charles, is accused of using his influence to get the BBC to cancel the broadcast of a documentary exposing the methods he used to fix his image following the death of Princess Diana

How Alan Dershowitz bullied rape victims to protect a serial child molester

Alan Dershowitz and Israeli ambassador Ron Prosor at the Inaugural Champion of Jewish Values International Awards, honoring Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, 4 June 2013 in New York City.

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz always felt children were fair game for Israeli missiles. Now the question is whether he thinks they are fair game for the sexual exploits of his powerful associates and himself.

Dershowitz played a key role in negotiating a secret provision in Epstein’s plea deal that immunized “any potential co-conspirators” from federal prosecution. In other words, Dershowitz negotiated an agreement that (if the allegations against him are true) shields him from prosecution for participating in a child sex-trafficking ring.

The mainstream press revives its interest in Epstein and reproduces strongly worded denials from Dershowitz and representatives of Prince Andrew, it has overlooked the role of Epstein’s social network in building up his influence and shielding him from accountability. Media coverage of Epstein has been particularly derelict in failing to note the pivotal role of Alan Dershowitz, Israel’s most aggressive defender, in securing near impunity for a sexual predator and his accomplices by bullying, harassing, intimidating and smearing child victims of rape.

    Unprecedented Impunity

At first glance, Epstein’s story reads like a typical case of two-tiered justice in America, where the wealthy and powerful are rarely held accountable for their crimes. In many ways it was.

A deeper examination of the case suggests a cadre of sleazy operatives led by Alan Dershowitz deployed gangster-style intimidation tactics that averted a deeper probe that might have implicated enormously powerful individuals, including Dershowitz.

The federal government had mountains of evidence to put Epstein behind bars for decades for child sex-trafficking and serial molestation.

While none of the power players are named, Epstein’s private plane pilot, Larry Visoski, identified former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana Arango and former US President Bill Clinton as regular passengers who likely witnessed Epstein with underage girls on his private planes.

Epstein served just thirteen of his eighteen-month prison sentence in the private wing of a Palm Beach Jail, where he was given a pass that allowed him to leave the prison grounds for up to sixteen hours per day for "work".

    Bullying rape victims

With the police investigation heating up in 2006, Epstein’s team went on the offensive, bullying and harassing witnesses, victims and their families into silence.

Going far beyond the typical role of a lawyer, Dershowitz mobilized a pre-emptive smear campaign against the victims

Dershowitz hired private investigators to track and dig up dirt on at least one of the underage girls who accused Epstein of raping her. The girl, a high school student, reported that one of the private investigators had impersonated a police officer while asking her questions.

While Dershowitz schemed against Epstein’s victims, witnesses and the victims’ families complained of being followed, photographed, harassed, threatened and offered money in exchange for their refusal to cooperate with the police investigation.

Former Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter, who grew increasingly frustrated with the escalating campaign of intimidation by Epstein’s lawyers, went on to testify that he was told by private investigators that Dershowitz ordered background checks on him and Detective Joe Recarey. Reiter added that he later discovered he and Recarey had been placed under surveillance but he was unable to determine who was behind it.

On at least one notable occasion, Dershowitz called on his friend, Epstein, to muzzle a prominent Israel critic.

In 2007, Martin Nowak, a mathematics and biology professor and director of Harvard’s Program for Evolutionary Dynamics, rescinded a speaking invitation to award-winning evolutionary biologist Robert Trivers just hours before his event. Nowak said he was instructed to cancel the speech but would not say by whom—only that he had no choice but to comply. Trivers later learned that the order to cancel was delivered by Jeffrey Epstein, on whose donations the program relied for its continued existence. (Nowak had also relied on Epstein to secure his position at Harvard).

Epstein, it turned out, was acting on the request of his attorney Dershowitz.

Dershowitz was still furious at Trivers for writing a letter in which he condemned Israel’s 2006 “butchery” of Lebanese civilians and called Dershowitz a “Nazi-like apologist” and “rancid defender of Israeli fascism” for rationalizing the killing. In the end, Dershowitz leveraged Epstein’s financial influence to mete out revenge on Trivers.

    Dershowitz knew about the girls

Long before the rape allegation against Dershowitz surfaced, there was overwhelming evidence to suggest he at least knew what Epstein was up to.

The two were very close friends. Speaking to Vanity Fair in 2003 (before the sex ring was exposed) Dershowitz boasted, “I’m on my 20th book…. The only person outside of my immediate family that I send drafts to is Jeffrey.”

The pro-Israel billionaire that made Jeffrey Epstein

    Les” Wexner, CEO

Although it remains a mystery just how Epstein acquired his wealth, his special relationship with billionaire Leslie “Les” Wexner, CEO and founder of the women’s clothing chain Limited Brands Inc., played a pivotal role.

Epstein bragged about having several unnamed billionaire clients at the height of his success, however, Wexner was his only publicly known patron, leading to speculation that Wexner, who bought Epstein a lavish eight-story Manhattan mansion for $13 million, was bankrolling him.

Wexner, who became a client and mentor of Epstein’s in the late 1980s, facilitated Epstein’s entrance into elite American circles, as a 2003 Vanity Fair profile of Epstein reveals:

Since Leslie Wexner appeared in his life—Epstein has said this was in 1986; others say it was in 1989, at the earliest—he has gradually, in a way that has not generally made headlines, come to be accepted by the Establishment. He’s a member of various commissions and councils: he is on the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York Academy of Sciences and the Institute of International Education.

His current fan club extends to [Bear Stearns CEO James] Cayne, Henry Rosovsky, the former dean of Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Larry Summers, Harvard’s current president.

As the police investigation into Epstein’s underage sex trafficking ring intensified in 2006, Epstein reportedly told friends that the child molestation allegations were an anti-Semitic conspiracy, echoing a tactic commonly deployed by people like Dershowitz against critics of Israel.

Dershowitz himself has tried to rally support by claiming that he’s been targeted by his accusers because he’s Jewish and an advocate for Israel, a tactic that has generated strong pushback from at least one ardent supporter of Israel.

The Times of Israel plans to honor Dershowitz with its “Advocate for Israel Award” at a ritzy gala next month. Dershowitz will be recognized alongside Shimon Peres, professional American basketball player Omri Casspi, supermodel Bar Refaeli and billionaire owner of the New England Patriots Robert Kraft, to name just a few.

Daily Mail is right to pursue Prince Andrew over his finances

It’s time for all newspapers to look into the funding of the royal family

    12 January 2015

Despite the news in France, despite the NHS crisis, despite the outbreak of electioneering, the story of Prince Andrew’s foolhardy friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein continues to make headlines.

...on Saturday with a truly gob-smacking story. It revealed that Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, have together acquired a Swiss ski chalet for £13m. They are reported to have done so with a joint mortgage. But how did a pair of non-earners do that?

I suspect that if the Charlie Hebdo massacre had not occurred, that single article would rightly have received much more attention.

It is time for all newspapers, indeed all mainstream media outlets, to ask searching questions of Buckingham Palace about Prince Andrew’s financial activities.

How does he manage to live so high on the hog? How can a man with “a modest naval pension” and an annual stipend from his mother, the Queen, afford a £13m property? How does he pay for his regular private jet flights?

These are relevant questions to investigate and the Mail appears to be making the running. It should not do so alone. The royal family is still guarding secrets that we, the people, should know about.

The Guardian has relentlessly campaigned over nine years to see Prince Charles’s “spider letters” with precious little support from the rest of Fleet Street.

Now all editors, on behalf of the citizens who read their newspapers, should be standing shoulder-to-shoulder to ensure that light is cast on royal finances.

Ian Fleming  was a naval intelligence officer, best known for his James Bond series of spy novels. Fleming came from a wealthy family...Fleming also wrote the children's story Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang

However, it is interesting to note that this was not Diana’s first Christmas at Sandringham. Having grown up on the estate (her family lived in Park House on the grounds, which is also where Diana’s mother grew up), the Spencer kids would join the Windsor kids to watch the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Christmas day. As Diana recalled in Diana: Her True Story, ‘We hated it so much. We hated going over there. The atmosphere was always very strange when we went there and I used to kick and fight anyone who tried to make us go over there and Daddy was most insistent because it was rude. I said I didn’t want to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for the third year running.”

In Operation Crossbow (1965) Bradley (Jeremy Kemp) suggests Boodle's to Lt. Curtis (George Peppard) as a stopover after their 'spy' interviews.

More than 10 concern astonishing MI5 and Scotland Yard reports on the Duke Of Edinburgh's private life.

As an explosive new biography of the Queen hints that the Greek-born Prince was unfaithful to the Queen, we can reveal that Buckingham Palace courtiers and security chiefs were once so concerned about Philip's non- royal activities that they ordered round-the-clock surveillance.

They feared the Royal Family would be compromised and that there would be a constitutional crisis if news leaked out of how the Prince was behaving.

He was known to be "letting his hair down" with celebrities of the day at weekly meetings of the Thursday Club above exclusive Wheeler's Restaurant in Soho.

And the surveillance was later to link him with Stephen Ward, whose friendship with Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice Davies led to the resignation and humiliation of Minister John Profumo.

John Parker, in his biography of Philip, wrote: "More worrying were the parties at Baron's flat; soirees and dinner parties which were not generally for the likes of his Thursday Club friends - though some did attend - because of their sexual connotations."

One senior detective, now retired, who was attached to the Prince's protection team, said: "It's true we had to report back on where we had been and who had been present." But he refused to discuss the Prince's private visits.

Diana WAS pregnant with Dodi's child when she died in Paris car smash, sensational West End play will claim

    12 January 2015

Based on interviews with figures including Paul Burrell and James Hewitt

A West End play which opened this week claims Princess Diana was pregnant with Dodi Fayed's child when she died in the Paris car crash.

Claims the Princess was pregnant were dismissed by at the inquest, but the play includes details from a testimony Conway says was given to him by the ex-girlfriend of a doctor at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital where Diana was formally declared dead.

When asked why she and Yasser had not spoken out at the time of Diana's death because to protect their careers, but says she feels it is now time for 'the truth'.

The play, which runs at the Charing Cross theatre until February 14, also includes claims by Hewitt that Diana had discovered Prince Charles was having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles days before their 1981 wedding, and had wanted to cancel the ceremony.

Hewitt, who has given his blessing to his depiction in the show, is also seen claiming Diana knew that Prince Philip had alleged flings, but that he and the Queen had 'an arrangement'.

In a question and answer piece on Conway's website, he was asked 'why drag this up again now?'

'The last three years has seen dramatic reinvestigations into many old crimes, exposing covers and corruption in the past,' he said.

'Jimmy Savile, Steven Lawrence, phone hacking and so on, have vindicated witnesses previously presented as unreliable. None more relevant than the opening of a new Hillsborough inquest. This happened after the Police admitted they altered over 100 witness statements. Yet any questions about Diana’s death are swept aside or met with a wall of silence.'

    More shady/spooky Henniker links...

Lord Henniker married, firstly, Margaret Osla, daughter of James William Benning, in 1946. They had three children:

    Their daughter...

Hon. Jane Elizabeth Henniker-Major (born 6 July 1954), married Richard Spring, Baron Risby

Richard John Grenville Spring, Baron Risby

is a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bury St Edmunds from 1992 to 1997, and for West Suffolk from 1997 to 2010. He joined the House of Lords in 2010 and is currently the British Trade Envoy to Algeria.

Spring served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sir Patrick Mayhew (above) as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1994–95), to Tim Eggar as Minister for Trade and Industry (1995–96) and to Nicholas Soames and James Arbuthnot as Ministers of State at the Ministry of Defence (1996–97). he was a Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party, responsible for business links in the City of London.

In 1981  Mayhew became Minister of State at the Home Office

Lord Risby is currently the Chairman of the British Ukrainian Society, a post that he has held since 2007.[8] He is also one of two patrons of the business organisation City Future, along with Sir John Major.[9] Risby is a director of several businesses and organisations, including Hawkley Oil and Gas Ltd and Minexco Petroleum Inc, and is the president of the Combined Heat and Power Association.[10] He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Small Business Bureau...was a vice-president of Merrill Lynch

Risby, Jane Henniker's husband, was widely reported to have enjoyed a three-in-a-bed romp with a male friend and a Sunday School teacher in 1995.

RICHARD SPRING/(Lord Risby), the Conservative MP forced to resign last week after allegations that he had taken part in a "three-in-a- bed sex romp"

Odette Nightingale, presented by the paper as a "God-fearing Sunday school teacher" who had been left distraught by the experience, was paid between £25,000 and £30,000 by the newspaper, according to NoW sources.

A tape recorder hidden in Ms Nightingale's handbag captured Mr Spring's damaging remarks about the Royal family and fellow politicians, including John Major and his wife Norma.

Ms Nightingale said last week that her boyfriend, Chris Holmes, a City pension fund manager, had suggested sharing a bed with Mr Spring, the Parliamentary private secretary to Sir Patrick Mayhew, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, several times before she went to the MP's house. She eventually went to bed with him and Mr Holmes after a private dinner party.

Sources inside the NoW said approaches had been made on her behalf to the paper before the party, and as a result, Ms Nightingale had kept a tape recorder in her handbag during the dinner table conversation. But when the three moved to the bedroom, the recording was barely audible, so hi-technology tape enhancement techniques were used to present Mr Spring with "incontrovertible evidence".

Hon. Jane Elizabeth Henniker-Major divorced Spring and married Richard Szpiro

    Richard Szpiro and family

64-year-old Szpiro, who started his career with Rothschild, set up the niche merchant bank Wintrust with the help of his father. The Szpiro family had a 41% stake worth £23m when Wintrust was bought by Singer & Friedlander. Other assets such as Clarabelle Securities (£1m net assets in 2007-08) and property should take the family to at least £50m.

Back to her ex-husband Spring and his associates.....

    Saturday 29 May 1993

...yesterday's News of the World devoted five pages to claims about a "three-in-a-bed-romp" involving Tory MP Richard Spring, another man and a woman. Mr Spring immediatley resigned as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sir Patrick Mayhew, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

IT IS not often that a senior member of the Cabinet, far less a former Attorney General, is called to deny before a public inquiry that he had, in effect, attempted to pervert the course of justice. But it happened this week, and it concerned an issue which could yet shake the Government to its foundations.

On Thursday - while the public was preoccupied with the Cabinet reshuffle - 'Paddy' Mayhew, the 63-year-old Secretary of State for Northern Ireland since the general election, boomed his way successfully through a session of the Scott inquiry into the Government's ambiguous role in the export of defence-related equipment to Iraq.

in 1986, as Solicitor General, he came close to resignation after his confidential letter, warning Michael Heseltine of 'material inaccuracies' in the way he was presenting the Westland case, was leaked by the government machine. He was not prepared to condone the improper release of confidential information merely because an investigation into the circumstances might have embarrassed the Government.

He incurred further wrath when he sent faulty extradition papers to Dublin on several occasions, including the case of Father Patrick Ryan, wanted for alleged conspiracy and bombing. The Attorney General took the robust view that the odd factual error was neither here nor there; Dublin knew what the documents were meant to say and should jolly well have responded accordingly.

Mayhew's straightforwardness is, then, something of a pose. The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland has boasted of his ability to 'do a Willie'. The reference is to his friend, Lord Whitelaw, a consummate operator notorious for his skill in concealing calculated intentions behind a blustering exterior. Consider the Willie-ish circumstances under which Mayhew obtained his first government post in 1979. It was as deputy to Jim Prior at the Department of Employment. Mr Prior vetoed the prime minister's first choice for the job, Leon Brittan, on the grounds that Mr Brittan's enthusiasm for union reform had annoyed important people at the TUC and CBI.

Lord Mayhew Patron - Rt.Hon. Lord Mayhew of Twysden, Vice President The Defence and Security Forum

The Defence and Security Forum was founded by Lady Olga Maitland in 1983. It was originally a campaigning organisation known as Families for Defence launched to challenge the anti-nuclear protest movements such as CND. In the course of doing so the purpose was to focus on the importance of a proper provision for the defence of the United Kingdom.

Lord Mayhew of Twysden, QC, has had a highly Parliamentary distinguished career. He was appointed by Prime Minister John Major to become Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in 1992 which he held until 1997.

Before that Lord Mayhew had been appointed by the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to be Attorney General, an office he held from 1987 to 1992.

His earlier ministerial appointments  included being Solicitor General from 1983 to 1987, Minister of State at the Home Office 1981-1983 and Under Secretary of State at the Department of Employment 1979 to 1981.

Who Bankrolls Prince Andrew? Media Ask Questions After Ski Chalet Purchase With Sarah Ferguson

    January 13, 2015

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson recently finalized the purchase of a ski chalet in Switzerland. In reporting the news, The Daily Mail on Saturday questioned The Duke of York’s finances and that of other members of the royal family.

[The purchase] raises questions as to how they can afford the chalet, which has up to six permanent staff including a chef. Andrew is not known to have a vast private fortune, while Sarah only recently managed to clear £5 million (US $7.6 million) in debts she ran up through a series of disastrous business investments.”

The chalet is said to be worth up to £13 million (US $19.6 million). It is not known how much “Andrew York” and “Sarah Ferguson,” as the deeds list them, paid for the property.

Although The Mail notes the couple received £15 million (US $22.6 million) from the sale of their former family home in 2007, the paper goes on to question the terms of that sale. The home sold for £3 million (US $4.5 million) above the asking price to an energy tycoon even though it had been on the market for five years. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s former home, Sunninghill Park in Berkshire, had been a wedding gift from the Queen.

The questions come as Prince Andrew’s name has been raised in connection with a legal case involving Jeffrey Epstein.

Last year Prince Andrew undertook 90 foreign engagements, some of which were taxpayer-funded, and some of which were paid for from private funds. The Mail says this “has led to concern about who is bankrolling the prince.”

On Monday a Guardian opinion piece agreed with The Daily Mail‘s decision to “pursue Prince Andrew over his finances.”

Sarah Ferguson has also started renting an apartment in Belgravia, according to The Mail. Prince Andrew is reported by The Mail to have spent £7.5 million (US $11.3 million) renovating the property.

Andrew is expected to travel to Switzerland to represent the Queen at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 21, although the high-profile trip is yet to be formally announced by the Palace amid fears the Prince will be subjected to intense questioning from the world’s media.

...there will now be huge pressure on US prosecutors to re-open the investigation into Epstein’s double life with scores of under-age girls, some allegedly as young as 12.

An avalanche of material on the complex legal battle is expected to surface in a US court in coming weeks.

Details of Epstein’s “little black book” could further embarrass Andrew.

    one marked Palace ex-directory,

one for Balmoral, the Queen’s private retreat in Scotland where Epstein was invited by the Prince,

and one marked Sand, for Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk home.

A further 18 numbers are listed for Sarah, the Duchess of York. Allegations: Ghislaine Maxwell is accused of 'facilitating Prince Andrew's acts of sexual abuse by acting as a madame for Epstein'.

Federal investigators had “concrete evidence” that billionaire businessman Epstein had “sexually molested many under-age minor females”, according to documents filed at a court in Florida.

Questions mount over Ghislaine Maxwell's relationship with President Bill Clinton

She and Epstein socialized with the cream of Manhattan society, including CBS President Les Moonves, his wife Julie Chen, Sean Lennon and Padma Lakshmi...

It was down to Maxwell that Epstein met President Bill Clinton. told how the disgraced billionaire was found to have 21 numbers for Clinton under the name of his adviser Doug Band in his contacts book, nicknamed 'The Holy Grail' by his former employee Alfredo Rodriguez.

Ghislaine - was served with a subpoena in September 2009, as she was leaving the Clinton Global Initiatives Conference in New York.

So close was Maxwell to the Clintons that she attended Chelsea Clinton's wedding in July 2010.

Speaking to the Mail On Sunday in 2011, Virginia Roberts said she met Clinton twice - but was never 'lent out'.

She claimed that Clinton traveled with Epstein to a number of destinations, including three times on the billionaire’s private jet.

Epstein, who has donated more than £75,000 over the years to candidates from the Democratic Party, also flew with Clinton in November 2003 to destinations including Russia, Oslo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

On one occasion, she alleged, Epstein did invite two young brunettes to a dinner which he gave on his Caribbean island for Clinton shortly after he left office.

‘She’d (Ghislain Maxwell) always wanted to fly and Jeffrey paid for her to take lessons, and I remember she was very excited because she got her licence around the first year we met.

'I used to get frightened flying with her but Bill had the Secret Service with him and I remember him talking about what a good job she did.

‘I only ever met Bill twice but Jeffrey had told me that they were good friends.

'I asked, “How come?” and he laughed and said, “He owes me some favours.” Maybe he was just joking but it constantly surprised me that people with as much to lose as Bill and [Prince] Andrew weren’t more careful. Bill must have known about Jeffrey’s girls.'

  • At one of Jeffrey Epstein's "homes" ...

"On the desk, a paperback copy of the Marquis de Sade's The Misfortunes of Virtue was recently spotted."

"The name of the Marquis de Sade is synonymous with the blackest corners of the human soul, a byword for all that is most foul in human conduct. In his bleak, claustrophobic universe, there is no God, no human affection, and no hope."
