The British led drive for war with Russia, using an attack on Iran as the touch paper, continues with William Hague taking point.

Referring to the EU imposition of an oil and precious metals trading embargo on Iran, announced on the 23rd January, Hague said, “the U.K. has been looking for an unprecedented set of sanctions and that is what we have agreed … This shows the resolve of the European Union on this issue. It is absolutely right to do this when Iran is continuing to breach United Nations resolutions and refusing to come to meaningful negotiations on its nuclear program, The EU is taking a very strong lead in world affairs and we strongly welcome this.”

Last April, the Mexican National Water Commission (Conagua), the World Wildlife Fund (WWF, for its acronym in English) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) announced an alliance to reclaim water used by humans for environmental use, ensuring water resources needed for the proper functioning of ecosystems. Since human use is not considered "environmental", the result is nothing less than murder.

Mexico is in the midst of its worst drought in over 70 years. 1.7 million cattle have died of starvation and thirst so far this winter, and crops have been devastated. The drought is affecting almost 70 percent of the country, devastating farm life, and is expected to continue well into 2012.

Despite this, the WWF and Conagua would prefer to see people die than permit the development of water power and irrigation systems in the region.

What is happening on the streets of London and other major cities? Are we to believe that a few angry youths, armed with Blackberry phones are orchestrating a wave of looting, arson and violence in areas of London and across UK? Unlikely. Something just does not seem right?

The Coalition government's plans for the NHS are revealed in the Health and Social Care Bill now before Parliament.

We, the electorate however have not had a chance to say yea or nay to these drastic changes as neither the Tories or LibDems saw fit to put them in their manifestoes.

Even after the election, their Coalition Programme, published on May 20th 2010, foresaw a gradual evolution of existing structures for the NHS, rather than drastic upheaval, but by the time of The White Paper in July 2010, there had been a significant change of plan.

On Tuesday 20th July, national press set out David Cameron’s stall regarding the Big Society. Reports claimed that the Big Society is the alternative to Big Government. It represents a ‘kind of devolution’ in which local authorities, volunteer groups, charities and stakeholders take over the running, and the budget, of local services from central government. According to NuCon Cameron, this will free services from Whitehall red tape and the tyranny of centrally imposed rules and targets.

Silky smooth, the Big Society is a lie, and a very big one at that.

There can be little doubt which word won the prize for most important adjective in 2009. This was the year in which "global" swept the rest of the political lexicon into obscurity. There were "global crises" and "global challenges", the only possible resolution to which lay in "global solutions" necessitating "global agreements".

[Would these global agreements] sweep away any consideration of what was once assumed to be the most basic principle of modern democracy: that elected national governments are responsible to their own people – that the right to govern derives from the consent of the electorate.

There'll be nowhere to run from the new world government

Who could have missed the MPs expenses "scandal." Anyone who believes that the details of MPs receipts were leaked to the Telegraph by a someone with any sense of duty is nuts. This is classic "problem-reaction-solution." The problem of corruption within Parliament has been clear for years, the reaction systematically exaggerated by every single news bulletin for the last month. So it was only a matter of time before the "solution" would be out in the open.

That solution was announced on Sunday's interview with Gordon Brown on the Andrew Marr Show, on BBC1. Brown made it absolutely clear that the target is the British Constitution, specifically the Bill of Rights.
