Georgian President and George Soros placeman Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in Washington yesterday to learn what his pay-off will be for his support in attacking Iran and the continuing interference in Russian internal affairs.

President Obama heaped praise on the Soros frontman, and said that he would explore the possibility of a free trade agreement between the US and Georgia. Left unsaid, at least in public, was the rider: only if Saakashvili continues to be a good boy with regard to Iran and Russia.

Damn Hislop! I hate him! There I was, happily getting my “date nights” with Sam, and the next thing Hislop is broadcasting to the world that I’ve been having “inappropriate” relations with “certain top News International executives”. Sam was not happy, I can tell you, and neither was Rupert.

Once Sam calmed down a little, she told me that due to budget cuts, I’m not getting any more date nights for quite some time.

"Austere Challenge 12", the joint US-Israeli military exercises, scheduled for April, have been cancelled.

The cancellation follows a tense telephone call between the two Presidents last week, as reported by Debka.

Obama is 100% behind an attack on Iran, but many of his most senior military are not, recognising such an attack as an insane act. Similarly, Netanyahu continues to face similar opposition from the heads of the Mossad, Shin Bet and others.

Netanyahu is determined to be Israel's last Prime Minister, according to W. Scott Thompson, former Assistant to the Secretary of Defence during the Reagan years, current CFR and International Institute of Strategic Studies member.

Writing in Burma's New Strait Times, Thompson discusses the prospects of "freedom" for nations around the world. He argues that while there are still many countries around the world which are not yet "free", the trend is very much for "freedom" in this "partially gloablised world", and that should offer "hope".
