Georgian President and George Soros placeman Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in Washington yesterday to learn what his pay-off will be for his support in attacking Iran and the continuing interference in Russian internal affairs.

President Obama heaped praise on the Soros frontman, and said that he would explore the possibility of a free trade agreement between the US and Georgia. Left unsaid, at least in public, was the rider: only if Saakashvili continues to be a good boy with regard to Iran and Russia.

It seems that Bibi and Barry are best of friends again. Operation Austere Challenger 2012, the joint Israeli/US military "exercises", which were cancelled following a spat between Presidents Netanyahu and Obama, have been rescheduled for October.

Operation Austere Challenge 2012 will be the largest joint Israel/US military exercises in history. The exercises will involve 3000 troops, as well as the deployment of the United States' Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system and the ship-based Aegis system. Israel’s own Arrow, Patriot and Iron Dome missile systems will work in cooperation with their US counterparts.

In an article in his newspaper, the Atlanta Jewish Times, Andrew Adler called for the Mossad assassination of President Obama for so far refusing to go to war with Iran.

The article, headlined "What Would You Do?", has raised a massive backlash, and a Secret Service investigation for Mr Adler.

Adler Op-ed

The article gave three options for Israel in its efforts to deal with Iran's alleged nuclear weapons. The first was to launch a pre-emptive attack on Hamas and Hezbollah. The second was to directly attack Iran's nuclear facilities. The third was to:

President Obama may have forgotten to mention that the American troops due to leave Iraq at the end of 2011 would need to be deployed almost immediately elsewhere.

US troops exited Iraq to reappear a month later in Israel. Senior US military sources say that many would be staying up to the end of this year as part of the US-IDF deployment in readiness for a military engagement with Iran.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, George Soros has been identified by US journalist Wayne Madsen as financing the anti-Putin protests in Russia via Georgia.

Madsen's article on the Veterans Today website cites an unnamed eastern European intelligence source, who has stated that money earmarked for AIDS prevention in Georgia has been diverted to Russian opposition groups.

In an article for the National Review, John Yoo, erstwhile legal advisor to the Dubya regime and author of the so-called torture memos which justified Cheney's torture operations, provided a new justification for war with Iran - that the United States is the new British Empire.

Obama has failed to "build the legal case for attacking Iran", according to Yoo, instead depending on the United Nations. This is a staggering statement, very much in line with the type of neo-con rhetoric seen just prior to the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is pointless, he argues, to expect assistance from the United Nations, since:

In July 2008, there was an interesting exchange between Sir Peter Tapsell and Gordon Brown during Prime Minister’s Questions.

Tapsell asked, “are we to understand that the Right Honourable Gentleman’s bleak message to the country is that for many years to come, at Prime Minister’s Questions, he and his successors will be paying mournful tribute to the gallant men and women who in the previous week have been killed in Afghanistan, fighting an unwinnable, and deeply unpopular war, when it is widely understood that the Taliban are not international terrorists, who are now mostly … trained in Pakistan, Iraq and Britain.”

How many times do we see round robin emails from people expressing a views such as: "Moderate Islam? ... you must be joking. There aint no such thing."

We regularly hear about mosques being built next to Sandhurst, or on Ground Zero. Or we are sent a hundred images of middle-eastern looking people with banners screaming "be prepared for the real holocaust."

A Very British Operation

The entire Islamic fundamentalist movement is British foreign policy. The "fifth column" which has been inhabiting our "establishment" (as well as that of the USA) since the end of the second world war, financed by international monied interests in the City of London and Wall Street, is the true source.

It is now two weeks into the Israeli war on the people of Gaza.

1000 Palestinian men, women and children, and no doubt some leaders of the militant group Hamas are dead, as compared with a handful of Israelis, some broken fences and flower pots in Israel.

While I do not normally like to comment or be drawn into the debate about the "Palestinian issue," the brazen, wanton, criminal atrocities that are being committed in this sick business are simply too heinous to be ignored.

Back in May, Myanmar suffered the effects of Cyclone Nargis. It left thousands dead, and a couple of million in dire humanitarian need. However, if the British media were to be believed, the Myanmar "junta" was murdering their own people by actively blocking aid efforts, and there was an immediate need for a mass influx of British "aid" workers.

As is typical of today's journalists, they simply trotted out the British government press releases and public statements. For example, according to the Telegraph:

the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, led the charge, saying that Burma's ruling generals risked further escalating the death toll 'now estimated at 78,000, with a further 56,000 missing, according to the junta's own estimates' through their refusal to allow foreign aid workers into the storm-hit Irrawaddy delta area.

Already feeling pressured by the recent deal between NATO and Poland for new missile "defenses", General Anatoli Nogovitsyn, the deputy chief of Russia's general staff, stated on Saturday that the imminent presence of US, Spanish, German, and Polish ships in the Black Sea "does not contribute to the settlement of the [Georgian] situation."

It's unsurprising that Russia would be concerned, as Russian Information Agency Novosti (RIA Novosti) website reported, also on Saturday, that an unnamed Russian security source has charged that the Georgian attack on South Ossetia was planned more than a year ago.

The Georgian operation was coordinated with NATO's plans to strengthen its naval presence in the Black Sea, RIA Novosti's source says, and

Mikhail Saakashvili is quite possibly insane.

To get an impression of his mind, it's worthwhile drawing attention to some of his recent statements:

We are the fighting ground for a new world war.
- May 2008

it's time to move from words to action because this is not going to go away. This nation is fighting for it's survival, but we are also fighting for world peace and we are also fighting for a future World Order.
